Its been there for more then 3 months. All SMRT logo has been removed. Probably selling it off. LTA rules - From 1st Jan 2018 all vehicle must be Euro 6 emission standard. The A22 3 door is Euro 5. SG 5999Z registered before 1st Jan 2018 so it's still under the old Euro 5 rule.
That means SG4002G not yet registered actually?

Nope it's not been registered under any operator. If going by lta emissions rules of 1st Jan 2018 euro 6, this Bus is gone unless STK can magically make it Euro 6 standard which means adding more parts to the engine.

I thought that the 3doors SD man bus is a LTA and STK and MAN project to test the bus on singapore ? It been design by STK. what euro5 or 6 eng? LTA should have know better since it their own project. Maybe it will go to another operator just like 5999. hopfully to SBST use it on 238 since the service cannot operate DD bus.
Waiting for that china BYD electric bus to return and give it to other operator to test out. maybe a long distance like on service 10 or 105 or 36?

When LTA & STK design the bus they didn't consider the Euro 6 emission rule as the bus was build before the Euro 6 emission rule was made official. Even if its a special project, LTA still have to follow protocol. If the rules says Euro 6 by 1st Jan 2018 onwards, they have to follow, meaning any vehicle registered after 1st Jan 2018 must comply to the Euro 6 emission rules that LTA set even if its LTA own projects. SG 5999 Z was registered to a operator at the end of last December which still falls under the old Euro 5 emission rules. However SG 4002 G didn't got registered to a operator and thus it can be on the roads anymore because LTA don't allow vehicles with Euro 5 & below to register anymore now its Euro 6 and Above. BTW Euro 6 emission rules are not made by LTA but by the Parliament where they discussed in Parliament House with PM Lee & other ministers.

Sorry but that BYD K9 is parked deep inside STK compound. For almost 5 months without any movement nor activity, so don't get your hope ups. Its China it breaks down. Volvo 7900 Electric is coming soon as the electric bus for mass trial.

it wasnt registered at all.. was only permited to do the trial under the road traffic act (similar to 5999 under TT).

Similar system so I don’t think it would be a problem..It used to registered under SMRT.

If the gahmen want to deploy the bus anywhere, they can do it, since they can change their own rules, its their rules for them to change themselves.
They can just pass an Act and/or a Regulation specifically to allow that bus to run on the roads.

By the way GAS A95s is interchangeable among svc 2/2A,12 & 12e.
I don’t really know what’s the point of familiarise almost all BCs if only exclusive to those service.
Yesterday night at around 10pm,A svc 62 BC wanna take A95 for his last trip when the runout personnel refuse to let him use although the BC is trained.
It's natural that services 2/2A and 12/12e are interchangeable of fleets as they both share kg baru terminal as well. Smells fishy as why GA don't deploy those A95 to other services. Even service 518 only got one off deployment for a a95. Good things always go to services that covers city area.

why refuse ? new bus too good for some routes? 62 also loop near the city area also

12e doesn’t need many A95...Can push some Citaro/B9TL from svc 12 for 12e.12 justified for full DD.Can deploy at least one A95 to 518.
Svc 62 & 118 deploy 2 A95 each.

Because a few kaypoh svc 2 & 12 BCs think A95 only exclusive to their svc.
