Yeah I know how split shift work. But to like run just one townbound trip on the morning then one Yishun-bound trip in the evening and MIA at other times is pretty lame.. like how SMRT last time run their 6 (or less) bendies on 851.

951E after am operating hours will do svc 960,961 & 964 for 1 trips before going to Wlbp or Wldep to sleep.

Side destination Route Display got 2 display side by side, 1 Normal Orange colour Number display ( eg 851e ) the other is the LCD colourful display which currently is Turned Off.
Built in speakers inside & outside of the bus that is also not turned On currently
Colourful LCD information display on both decks that is not turned on currently
USB ports has been moved from the walls to the middle of the seats so that both the passenger inside & outside seats can use the port. 1 ports ( 1 - 1Amp & 1- 2.1Amps ) for 2 seats .
Seats are from Vogel with fabric covering on top of it. Lower deck 28 Seated , 50 standees & upper deck 57 seated . Total 130 Pax .
2 wheelchair bays, 1 behind the stairs the other behind the front wheel arch.. Both uses smrt style folding wheelchair seats .
Silver coloured handle Bars instead of purple or yellow ones .
Doors closing chime has been changed from smrt one to some ringing sound when the doors closed

Huh? It's functioning, but LTA did not procure the entire system for it to work. Full function should come by end of the year

That's worse. The Trapeze ITS technology LTA has procured should already allow a plug-and-play PIS system to work (we've seen that on trial before).
How much more does LTA has to spend on the backend to make it work?

If it's an essential feature (as lobbyists may deem), then the operator won't allow it on service. Since it entered service without, clearly it's a non-essential feature.

If the other countries are able to pull it off, many without incurring additional costs, why can't SG do it?
I reiterate again, the problem lies not in the concept itself, but the many inadequacies of LTA in its implementation. Then the solution is not to scrap the concept, it's a problem-solution mismatch.

Well, as you said, trial.
If you have looked through tender specs for EDS/PIDS, it asks for both VDV 300 and VDV 301 compatibility. Funny thing is, VDV 301 is not even bought by LTA.
You know what's the biggest joke? VDV300 is an outdated protocol, instead of just bringing in VDV301, they'd rather spend money on both VDV300 and VDV301 just so that it works as an interim solution.
They could have just upgraded the backend to VDV301 and spec in new buses with VDV301 only. This way, you would'nt need to spend unnecessary tax payer's money on the old VDV300 on every single bus.
Next question for you guys, how many of you favour white EDS?

Because there is a lobbying from wheelchair 'associations'. Wait till you see the 2 wheelchair bay concept on the Volvo Diesel Hybrid, even complicated.
Notice why LTA has done away with the stanchion pole at the wheelchair bay and implemented some foldable rail? This is to cater for visually impaired.
LTA is focusing on the minorities, pissing off majorities. The new buses are fucked up weird, with out of the world concepts.
Touch your hearts and ask yourselves, during peak hours when you are rushing and everywhere is crowded, how many of you are pissed with PIW.
And we still have'nt see the baby pram restrainer yet, lets see how weird our public buses become.
