SBS 2727 A broke down!

  I was onboard 1896B on service 36 yesterday, the driver turned into the parking lot at Marina Centre terminal to went to the washroom and to refill his water bottle, making all passengers on the bus waited for 5 minutes. Have any of you encountered this before while onboard service 36 going towards Marine Parade?
  
  When the bus reached the bus stop opposite Parkway Parade at 4.50 pm, I saw 2727A on service 36 broke down and passengers on that bus were alighting, the driver of the bus I was on then stopped in front of 2727A and directed passengers of that bus to board this bus for free.

  By right the passengers should be issued a complimentary travel ticket valid for one use on that particular service within one month from the date of issue. Was it issued?

  I was not sure, the bus I was on (1896B) was a distance away from the broke-down (2727A) bus, so didn't see if the driver of that bus issued or not.

  By the way SBS 1896B is the first B10M Mk IV with Alexander Strider body.

  Yes , this bus is actually operated between 32 and 16 last time , then the bus became perm on bus 36 after this service was introduced .

  I have no idea, for this we will have to depend on ZYX's list of bus regos!

  I missed the days when service 16 used Scania and Mk4. Now I avoid taking this service as far as possible cause I dislike Mk3.

  I have heard Sv. 16 can expect some fleet changes, ZYX, can confirm please?

  Currently, beside Mk3, service 16 also uses Mk2 WA buses.

  Sv. 16 is controlled by ARBP I believe, there are PA-registered O405s based in BBDEP, so it is possible, but it would only be for cameo at the most.

  So like you have mentioned, PA 0405 have to be transferred over from Bt Batok depot to Ayer Rajah depot in order to be deployed on service 16?

  I do believe ARBP is controlling Sv. 16, however HGDEP seems more likely. In that case transfer of buses has to be made, as both depots DO NOT have a fleet of O405 buses.

  Most likely I think that SBS Transit is going to re-register the Pa-merc in SBS rego and re-paint the buses in cooperate livery.
