Well , it has been about 2 weeks since the opening of NEL . The bus services load factor has dropped a little bit esp on routes that is directly competiting with the NEL like bus 85 . Despite the opening of the MRT , I must admit the load factor of 85 is doing not bad and i think the SBST did the right thing by increasing the time waiting for the bus and perhaps send extras VO buses to other services . How do you guys find the new routes those sbs services has been admended just a day after NEL opening ? Any need for more improvements ? Voice your views here .

Not only that, I noticed that SBST has rescheduled the arrival times of Express 501 and Express 502. But I feel it's a waste of Express services to use double decks during non peak hours. The services shouldn't be withdrawn. They should serve as "backups" in case the NEL service is disrupted. -
Thats why u see a number of single decks WA mercedes appearing on 502 . Dennis Tridents are still on service 85 after NEL opened. Do you think they will be transferred soon?

Sv. 80 does occasionally operate Tridents. Sv. 86 may get them as someone spotted a Trident on it. I do hope Sv. 87 gets Tridents, but that is impossible unless they are transferred to BNDEP!Originally posted by off_service:I believe svc 80 and 86 will get it. I do know that, that's why I said its impossible for BNDEP services to have Tridents unless SBST decides to transfer them to BNDEP, which is very unlikely!Originally posted by PT21:Hi

I think the trident should be transfer to SLDep.
BNDep have enough buses for their entire fleets. -

Why always bedok! Jurong should get new buses already. So many year didn't get new bues. The old buses like LOs 3 axles, Mercedes benz O405(WA, DM) some not all, used to be based at BNdep and HGdep many years ago. 1990s.
Service 2,12, 81 especially. Used to have LOs 3 axles and Atlantean. When SBS purchased the 2nd batch of VOs(94xx and 95xx) series, it was supposed to replace the Atlantean. But the entire fleet of service 2,12 and 81 was change to VOs 3 axle. Not even single LOs 3 axle was left. But I saw then on service like 157,197, 30 and some on 154 etc. Some was at BBDep.
Why SBST like the eastern side so much. Always give new buses to them and let the western side suffer with old buses.
Now I think it is time for SLDep to get new buses already. Not BNDep or HGDep. -

Coincidentally they are all based in BRAM/AMKDEP and heading towards the east. I personally think that VSO should not be deployed on these service:
Service 21,28,31 and 56.
VSO of those above mention service should be redeploy to service like service 157,143,154,197 and 74.
The reason is these service some are partial A/C and some still got old LO 2 axle buses and service 143 bypass orchard rd as it is a high demand service. -
