No lah! Just gets a bit sick sometimes seeing 2-axle LOs especially in Jurong area. I prefer the refurbished ones as obviously they have their gearbox changed. When they switch gears the engine does not blip, something which I like(smooth!)Originally posted by SBS9819Y:What an irony! Someone here loves 3 axle LOs and 2 axle VOs but is indifferent towards the 3 axle VOs and 2 axle LOs!![]()
OK OK, you win lohz!Originally posted by PT21:
Why, because my feeder service 242 got 1 permanent superbus already. It is 9003J. But during peak hours it got 3 more superbus borrowed from service 179.
That's right.Originally posted by PT21:More VOs 2 axle are seen on Jurong Industrial service. Service 249 just got their VOs. SBS 7226X, 7257G and 7258D are seen recently.
The LOs are phrasing out soon. If you want to take the LOs, hurry up and there are lesser and lesser each day. By end of this year. I think it is going to disappear totally.
Sheesh! There's something that I don't like about Allison gearbox. It somehow holds up the gear during the gear change. Yikes.Originally posted by SBS9818A:No lah! I believe if resources and road permits, SBST may deploy LO 3 axles / VO 3 axles on JIS services and the demand for a double deck is there.Originally posted by tranquilice:When will the JIS have partial air con?
You see, services 182, 192 and 193 have air con buses but not the JIS.
And 182, 192 and 193 are trunk services which charge ez-link fare up to $1.53 but the JIS charge up to $0.98. All of the services mentioned go to Jurong/Tuas industrial estates but have different fare system.
Ok, that's a lot! It's whole fleet is 2-axle and 3-axle LOs, right? SBST practises double standards in the way they charge fares, it's a major bone of contention for workers in Jurong area, especially Tuas.Originally posted by PT21:
The LOs of service 179 are.
SBS 9024Z
SBS 9026T
SBS 9049C
SBS 9062M
SBS 9065E
SBS 9111E
SBS 9128H
SBS 9152L
Deploying LO 3-axles or VO 3-axles is impossible, in my opinion. Otherwise, services 192 and 193 will have these buses now.Originally posted by off_service:I believe if resources and road permits, SBST may deploy LO 3 axles / VO 3 axles on JIS services and the demand for a double deck is there.
Except service 254.Originally posted by SBS9818A:SBST practises double standards in the way they charge fares, it's a major bone of contention for workers in Jurong area, especially Tuas.
Yeah....the 33 fare stages for the round trip from Boon Lay Int., Imagine the fares if its not industrialOriginally posted by tranquilice:Except service 254.
Yah. That was crazy. I suppose the route was the first into Tuas, even then it winds through Pioneer area first!Originally posted by TIB1186Z:Yeah....the 33 fare stages for the round trip from Boon Lay Int., Imagine the fares if its not industrial
I dunno whether I'm correct, I believe service 192 is the first route in Tuas.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Yah. That was crazy. I suppose the route was the first into Tuas, even then it winds through Pioneer area first!
