Ok, I can agree with you that Tibs has control over the terminal. But your second point that SBST shun the terminal as it's Tibs territory, I don't agree. Woodlands and Yishun belong to Tibs territories, but SBST services still go there. I believe SBST shun Lor 1 Geylang terminal due to other reasons.Originally posted by AntiDennisLance:WRONG!! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH Yes Geylang is by no means TIBS territory as a town... but Geylang Lor 1 Terminal IS WELL AND TRULY TIBS Property. Geylang Lor 1 Terminal is actually the THIRD TIBS depot after Kranji and AMK.. while Woodlands is the fourth. Unlike all other terminal and interchages, Geylang Lor 1 Terminal has refueling facilities and underground fuel reservoirs. Plus Geylang Lor 1 is the main SSB/CSS Depot. The other one is AMK. And certain TIBS service buses esp svc 853 sometimes are stored in Geylang Lor 1 like in other depots.
The actual reason why SBST shun Geylang Lor 1 is because the terminal is TIBS territory. The terminal is actually very strategically placed to spring short working trips into the city area during peak hours and if SBST owns it they would surely have made very good use of it.
TIBS srv 9??Originally posted by SBS9818A:Stupid because that service should belong to TIBS since TIBS now has control over Lor 1 Geylang, before it had Sv. 9, Sv. 5 and others!
SBST still have service 11 at Geylang Lor 1 Terminal in the same way as they have 161/168 and 39 at Woodlands and Yishun respectively.Originally posted by tranquilice:Ok, I can agree with you that Tibs has control over the terminal. Yes, the district of Geylang per se is not TIBS territory, but Geylang Lor 1 terminal is. It has fueling facilities and parking lots for its buses, so the terminal belongs to TIBS, with only that pathetic Sv. 11 of SBST.Originally posted by AntiDennisLance:WRONG!!
