0405Gs may be deployed on......

Service 804! I speculate that TIBS may deploy 0405Gs on svc 804, after I took TIB575 to Yishun Ave 1 and was pleasantly surprised to see that TIBS is lengthening the L shape at 5m deep already, and there are some serious earth-moving equipment situated there. With this extension, it is possible to get a 0405G into that turn and complete the U-turn without getting stuck like what happened in 1999.......
There is more than enough pax demand to warrant the deployment, but do you think that TIBS may deploy the Bendys on 804 in the near future? If it is, I can hardly wait when 804, like 800, 812 and 806, is being converted to a 100% 0405G fleet -
Service 804 needs Bendy Buses during peak hours and at night. The O405s are often being filled to the brim. On Weekends it's worse as service 806 is not in service. Hopefully. I was on Sv. 812 the other day and it warrants O405Gs. Furthermore I saw a Sv. 804 bass passing by, and was surprised to see how packed it was with pax even at 4+ pm, and pity O405Gs could not be deployed in it. I know the U turn is being improved, but why is LTA still not constructing Yishun St 41? If Yishun St 41 is completed, do you prefer the service to use St 41 or remain using the U turn? -
Yishun St 41 is not constructed because it serves no one. There is no development of any sort within 150m of the road, and no one needs a link between Ave 1 and Ring Rd as it would only save them 2 minutes, but even then, traffic will be super low.Originally posted by tranquilice:Waiting to see bendy back again on service 804.

Personally, I would prefer the original route, esp since it would save the residents at the opposite Blk418 bus stop at least 5 minutes compared to the new route. Moreover, there is no demand for services outside Northbrooks Sec during normal hours. -

I believe they have 10 Habits parked at WLDEP, they are selling buses, what more buy new ones! I attended a Tibs function and was told by someone of high authority they would not be purchasing new buses in a next one year or so. The only down side is that they may use this as a reason for not having 806 on weekends.. But heck, i'm happy!

OK Im still not a bit pleased with TIBS cos I live in Yishun Ave 11 and there's this 806 bus stop that's right in front of my block, it can save me 5 minutes and a lot of work done if TIBS deploy svc 806 on Sundays and PH. I agree, at least have a trunk that goes the 806 route.. Its better than not even having 806 during weekends -

I take about 5 minutes to walk out to that bus stop, and the svc 806 route basically duplicates svc 804 and do a left turn into Yishun ave 9 and follow the route of svc 800 and 811 into the interchange. The pax demand for svc 806 is definitely there. even during morning or evening peak, Bendys every 5 minutes can be filled to bursting point after the bus stop os. i normally take the 6.25-6.40 806 and i transfer to MRT becos its faster. Only after school do i take 851 from novena home

Sometimes the bus is packed full and there are passenegers unable to board, sometimes its just all seated and sometimes its about 70% seated towards the end of the route... If 804 comes first then people would most likely take it rather than wait for 806 to come which is why 806 should always come before 804 to ensure that 804 is able to manage its loads -

well, i tink ever since 806(804A) was introduced, 806 has taken over as the "main" peak hour service. I guess its becos not that many people travel to blk 200+ side but rather go directly to the mrt. Plus, its a full habit service and people just have this thinking that its faster than 804 but it really isnt.. No. They will get Habits or the normal box-O405Gs.
