Withdrawal of Exp 501; Amendment to Exp 502 on Sun 27 July

Saw the poster at the bus stop today.
Express Service 501 will be withdrawn.
Express Service 502 will be amended to ply from Boon Lay and looping at Marina Centre/Temasek Ave.
Tibs 106 will be also be amended as stated in the poster. -

As I understand, the changes to services 106, 501 and 502 are together in this poster. -

they suggest alternative bus routes...
and they mentioned amended svc 106 -
Ha! Expected it, too bad not both express 501 and 502, but they duplicate each other anyway. It is more appropraiate now to amend to Suntec City instead of charging express fares for rather non-express sectors like from Orchard to Boon Lay
I think the poster is by Transitlink, those blue ones with the bus stop pole and blue clouds behind, is it? Its quite some time since I saw TIBS and SBST sharing the same poster. Anyway, where will svc 106 be amended to? Suntec City? When does it take effect? -

Of course lah, saving express 502 is like a backup.SBST is trying to force people onto the NEL, and what's more, its kinda of faster and definitely cheaper the last time I tried it. Yes. Followed by Sv. 85, however Express 502 should be converted to a trunk service after extension. Good old SBST ripping off passengers again. Good to see Express 502 to loop at Marina Centre, however it should be converted to a trunk service and skip Holland Rd so as not to duplicate service 7. -
IMHO:
502 should be withdrawn totally. i mean there is the MRT from Boon Lay to City hall right?
and there is service 7 running along side it all the way till Clementi.
who would want to sit express bus when got MRT and svc 7??

I think SBS Transit is taking a move back and thinking twice about the withdrawl of Express services. They wouldn't have spent money on notices and take it away one day after the put up the notices.

SBST did put up such notices, do you want to see them now? Find the posters on extension of service 27 in Changi Airport T1 and T2 basement berth. They are still there. -

Nope, when I went to Sengkang for the LRT ride in February, the posters are displayed in the interchange and along the roads affected. -
