Sigh...so disappointed that you left my school out.....Quite a significant number take those Mk IIs home evry day, at least more than some of the schools there in my opinion. However, it is true that svc 151 can be quite packed during peak hours, but at other times, it can be quite empty actually, most of the time to be more accurate. also, the frequency of svc 151 had improved a lot, and is much better than svc 852. The fleet had also been upgraded recently to quite a bit of Mk4s, while it still retains the Mk II. Well, tolerate those NACs for a while more...they are going to be phased out next year, according to LTA's 15-yr regulation. Who knows, by that time there would be plenty of Mk4s running around?Originally posted by rain_drop:horrendous... service 151 passes thru NJC, TCHS, HCJC, Nanyang Girls', SMU, SIM, NP, SP and NUS... n always no seat everyone packed like sardines during school times, sometimes dun even stop 4 u cos too packed.. journey so long alot of them no aircon and all single deck!! i wonder if anyone complained b4... ahhh hate it...

non-aircon services tend to be more bumpy than aircon services........

Do not forget HGDEP has only less than 10 units of 2-axle VOs, unless Sv. 151 is controlled by SLBP as well. Sv. 151 does warrant a double-deck sometimes.Originally posted by xin1jun2:hi
no THERE IS NO HEIGHT RESTRICTION with 151 at NUS. in fact in dec 2002, SBSt did a trial using Vo2x on 151. i wonder what happened to the trail. it shoudl ahve bene implemented.
similarly in Dec 2002 a trialw ith superbus 96 was done. SBSt seems to have got ready a superbus for 96 recently. but it was only for show apparently. maybe whne sch term starts the VO3x will coem back on 96.

Now how does that statement make any sense, either mechanically, technically or logically?Originally posted by FireIce while clearly under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs:non-aircon services tend to be more bumpy than aircon services........
From the trials, it seems that there's no height restriction at Kent Ridge Crescent (Although I remembered that there's one overpass along this road which seems to be under 4.5m). However, I think that the narrowness and steep slopes of Kent Ridge Crescent make it difficult for a double decker to ply along this road.Originally posted by xin1jun2:hi
