Missing: TIB719T

Hi can anyone who had seen my favourite DAF recently please post it in here? It had been missing for quite a while.
It was recently seen on service 185, but not on the amended service 985, and had been missing from its home service 852 for at least 2 weeks.

Thanks everyone for helping me search for TIB719T. I am very pleased to announce that it had returned to service 852 today after 2 weeks of prolonged absence and I look forward to boarding it soon. And yes, the driver is still that same Chinese guy

Aiya, the driver must have gone on leave or temporarily assigned to cover someone else's duties, as TIBS practice this policy of buses sticking with their drivers, while SBST rotates them weekly.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:Thanks everyone for helping me search for TIB719T. Seems that a lot of buses were grounded at the depots until recently. This was what a driver told me.
Wonder it's some kind of major overhaul or cleaning. -
Its more of a checking. Remember the time when svc 852 got a lot of DAFs and 853 a lot of MB 0405s and the :Lance 211 suddenly disappear? If u noticed, u will noticed that TIBS repainted the wheel hubs of almost all the LAnce 211s, making it look like new, but whats the freaking point when it still like oven inside?! -
Don't let your disdain of Lance 211s get the better of you lah. Hao Rui has told me you've been influencing LOTS of people, even the RGS girl. Goodness. I disagree. Those who always take sv 852 and the bus is ALWAYS Lance 211, especially those who take the back seats or always sleep will not like the bus. Perhaps you had only be exposed to the ideal situation, but it actual fact, all buses in Singapore are good enough to be put onto the roads in the first place. Hence, the only way to differentiate the quality of the model is when it is being put to the test during peak periods.
From what I know, you had yet to board a crowded ( which means filled to the front door ) during peak hours where buses crawl and start and stop repeatedly.
The Lance 211 fails miserably in this aspect, and the climatic control system is faulty or not well designed, and the lack of suspension in the horizontal component causes the effects of Newtonian laws to be felt greatly by many, especially those who are seating in the bench seats or standing without grabbing onto something. -
You are right...I sleep on the bus for most of the journey home, and I think the Lance 211 is the only bus where I wake up when my bag hits against the seat in front or my head against the window pane ( not kidding! ), and in perspiration, especially at the back.Originally posted by off_service:I disagree. This reminds me of the sight where I saw a student seating in the double bench seats in front dozing off and then hit his head against the validator on TIB1008E today!
The most student friendly buses are those that are stable enough to be able to write legibly when rushing homework, won't get dizzy after studying for an hour, and allows one to sleep without ending up hitting against something uncounsiously.
However, its fortunate that TIBS at least put the DAFs together ( the DAF wave ) and the Lance 211s together ( the 211 wave ), and they arrive at fixed periods throughout the day. For example, I often take service 74 between 1700 to 1830 because that is a majority Lance 211 wave. -

I have been on board extremely crowded buses on my way home from school and even had to stand on the entrance steps, what makes you think I haven't? I was on 1010Y during peak hours and the bus was packed, though I was seated the climate control system is already good enough compared to what I get on packed SBST O405s.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:**Ahem**. I agree with TIB 1186 Z, TIB 719 T is a good DAF. Today I had a enjoyable ride in it.

And since when do you have to take svc 852/851 so frequently from school back home, or you have shifted to AMK or Yishun? This may sound like kind of subversion, but my experience stems from at least 200 km travelled per week, and more than at least 7 hours in the bus, and of which a minimum of 60% logged during the morning peak. And I have taken TIB1003 to TIB1016, with the exception of TIB1002. -
