My house here kenna change....now it is cheaper to get home from bedok MRT then it is from Tamp MRT even though Tamp MRT is nearer!! -

This is what you get when you have public transport companies listed on the stock market. All they care is about profits, nothing else.
Unless Sv. 85 is to make a comeback with totally different service number, like Sv. 960 being introduced months after withdrawal of Sv. 950 and Sv. 952, it will be unlikely, remember the goverment loves to back the public transport companies no matter what their decisions, be it wise or foolish, but it's the latter most of the time. -
SBST are certainly hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons , the residents staying in hougang area or a regular bus 85, 111 , 97 and any other services which was affected are certainly not happy with this new arrangement . Hopefully , the goverment can do something about it .

From the case of services 960 and 970, I think service 85 will come back as a new service, to ply between Sengkang and Orchard via a new route.

Odd enough they decided to make it fll-day so ah-sohs can go marketing or something? Since they withdraw the service and passengers are forced to make at least a transfer to the train, SBST is definitely milking lots of extra profits from the people!!!
Since they were rejected by the PTC recently to increase fares to their expectations, they are now taking revenge on us la!!! -
i think they are using our money to cover their costs for building the north east line!!! i am still very mad about the withdrawal of bus services 97, 85 & 111... made life really difficult for me...
i think maybe ez link card havent boosted their profits to their expectations yet so they purposely terminate all buses so everyone will be forced to take the more expensive north east line...
remember, before the ez link card, some people pay less for their bus trips using the farecard, so sbs claims they made losses, but with the ez link card, they cannot be making losses! i think their profits should have soared! and now, they are trying to squeeze more money out of us by making us take north east line... -

I think 111 very fei4 (wasteful). It covers MRT line just except for that Tanglin part, which has low passenger load. Must as well withdraw rather than cut back to Suntec, see already quite infuriating

I believe Sv. 111 follows EWL all the way to Queenstown, after which it diverts and joins up with the NSL all the way to City Hall, after amendment. Same for 106/77. Either one should be withdrawn or merged. Basically, I can tell you that Sv 111 is now being used more like a peak hour svc. You can see at most about... 50-60% of a DD Bus filled. Very wasteful indeed! Also, look at the amount of distance travelled, and how many places it covers! To think that a cutting cost method has become a wasting money method. Look at the route b4 amended to terminate at Suntec City! The demand is WHOLE LOT better than the present one! Urgh.. I feel madening about it. 106 can be so useful during its days travelling along the NE Corridor. It was a better alternative for people who wanted to get to places like Little India, Orchard, etc! However, look at what it is today!! I think SBST feels the same way as us about the ammended services, but why didn't they do something about it? Has anyone written in to SBST yet?
