Government will not do anything and stand by public transport companies, trust me, this warning coming on National Day itself.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:SBST are certainly hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons , the residents staying in hougang area or a regular bus 85, 111 , 97 and any other services which was affected are certainly not happy with this new arrangement . Hopefully , the goverment can do something about it .
The fact is here. Service 119 covers a small part of service 85 route. At least it's better than nothing.Originally posted by oliver_yuen87:Do you think the ptc will replace 85 due to the increasing complaints? or at least introduce prat of the route?
Also known as ex Sv. 860, it is solely meant for students, not the general public but all are welcome.Originally posted by tranquilice:The fact is here. Service 119 covers a small part of service 85 route. At least it's better than nothing.
Yes, as stated in the poster, the service is introduced mainly for the students, in this case, should have been a weekday peak hour service.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Also known as ex Sv. 860, it is solely meant for students, not the general public but all are welcome.
Odd enough they decided to make it fll-day so ah-sohs can go marketing or something? Ideally it should operate from 6am - 8am and 1pm - 5pm.Originally posted by tranquilice:Yes, as stated in the poster, the service is introduced mainly for the students, in this case, should have been a weekday peak hour service.
I believe Sv. 111 follows EWL all the way to Queenstown, after which it diverts and joins up with the NSL all the way to City Hall, after amendment. What a waste of resources, seeing empty Sv. 111 VOs cruising along Orchard Rd. Show off?Originally posted by oliver_yuen87:I think 111 very fei4 (wasteful). It covers MRT line just except for that Tanglin part, which has low passenger load. Must as well withdraw rather than cut back to Suntec, see already quite infuriating
Same for 106/77. Either one should be withdrawn or merged. Almost all 106 bendies leaving suntec are empty.Originally posted by SBS9818A:I believe Sv. 111 follows EWL all the way to Queenstown, after which it diverts and joins up with the NSL all the way to City Hall, after amendment. Basically, I can tell you that Sv 111 is now being used more like a peak hour svc. You can see at most about... 50-60% of a DD Bus filled. Very wasteful indeed! Also, look at the amount of distance travelled, and how many places it covers! To think that a cutting cost method has become a wasting money method. Look at the route b4 amended to terminate at Suntec City! The demand is WHOLE LOT better than the present one! Adui... wonder what SBST is thinking...Originally posted by SBS9818A:I believe Sv. 111 follows EWL all the way to Queenstown, after which it diverts and joins up with the NSL all the way to City Hall, after amendment. Urgh.. I feel madening about it. 106 can be so useful during its days travelling along the NE Corridor. It was a better alternative for people who wanted to get to places like Little India, Orchard, etc! However, look at what it is today!! Simply absurd.Originally posted by AntiDennisLance:Same for 106/77. Either one should be withdrawn or merged. Almost all 106 bendies leaving suntec are empty.
Sv. 502 can even go empty in town area.Originally posted by tranquilice:Same for service 97! Load is less than 30% during off peak.
