One Sv, >2 depots; One Sv, 1depot

You guys must be wondering what it is, right? That is something that I have been puzling over the years.
Certain bus svcs would be jointly operated by 2 to 3 depots, and certain bus sv would be operated by only one depot. There are certain bus sv that operates by one depot, for e.g. 133 and 135 (cos they are loop svcs), 81, 86, etc. Svcs that operate by 2 depots would be 147, 74, 65, etc. Svcs that operates by 3 depots, e.g. sv 143. Why is that so?
A few factors can be considered:
Amount of buses needed by demand Amount of buses that 1 depot distribute its buses to one sv and another Joint operation by 2 depots Depots that share buses -
I wouldn't say Sv. 143 is controlled by 3 depots as BRAM/AMDEP can be constituted as one depot as buses often with BRAM designator park in AMDEP. All Bishan services are single-depot operated, Sv. 88 used to be operated by BNDEP and AMDEP till Sv. 87 was extended and handed back to BNDEP from HGDEP. When Sv. 159 was first extended to SK, HGDEP took over partial control of Sv. 159, explaining the DM3500 Mk IVs and Mk IIs and other Volvo buses not found inside BRAM. However, when Sv. 163 was extended, control of Sv. 159 was fully taken over by BRAM/AMDEP again and Sv. 163 was totally handed over to HGDEP.

After Svc 163 was extended, it went the direct opposite. The newer buses in 159 were given to 163 while 159 took all the ex-163 buses. That was back when they initially implement this. As for now, i can see Mk 3 running in 163. Svc 159 still has not much change in the bus fleet which is full of 1xx 2xx 5xx. -
