Yes. I remember seeing Sv. 190 2-axle VOs passing by my dad's car on the BKE every minute or so going in the opposite direction, filled with passengers each time. Yes, as the load would be too insane. Even during SBS times Sv. 190 would have a 2-axle VO out every two minutes or so to cope with the load. If I remember clearly Sv. 190 was almost entirely full fleet of VO2X, with occasional O405s or B10Ms. Once the service went to TIBS these VOs went to Sv. 74 and HGDEP I speculate.Originally posted by off_service:Both.

I agree with your opinion. Also, with the introduction of service 119, which uses a number of Superbuses which are left running empty during off peak hours. Can anybody comment on the fleet and frequency of svc 74 today?
I saw a number of ac double deckers going towards buona vista at ard mid noon today and the frequency seem quite okay. -

Since when did 190 have O405s? I only knew there were 2 Mk4s DM 3500 towards the end of SBS 190 service (SBS2784 and SBS2785), 2 or 3 Mk4s WA and 1 or 2 AC Mk2. With regards to the LO deployments, 190 is one of the pioneer services to have Superbuses, along with service 7. Only a few new superbuses used then, SBS9569T, SBS9570M, SBS9603C, and SBS9443Y. now service 14 buses -
Yep. Sv 190 did have Lo 3 Axle... Did Sv 190 has MB O.405? I can't remember much abt it...

People had complained abt svc 989.........and TIBS merely put an extra svc "985A" there for show that did not even alleviate the situation a bit.......and put up such a good publicity stunt that Patsie Tan also got commended in the Straits Times abt it....
Complain to minister.....much more effective, but then steps are taken only to show off in front of the public as a token.......now we have empty VO3-ax running on svc 119 most of time and sacrificing a high load svc 74 by replacing the DDs with SDs and causing chaos in the morning peak....
Even if one complains, it is quite difficult to make them improve their service.....most of the time one will be served with a "standard letter of appreciation" and do something that does not improve the overall picture a bit.

But Sv. 119 isn't making more money. It runs empty 3/4 of the time, obviously just for showing off. We know SBST very well, don't we? Huh?! Lousy buses? I don't think how lousy it could get. Those buses used are rather okay. In my opinion, students like them don't really care what kind of buses they are boarding. Yes , SBS alway deploy DD on service with low demand, and deploy SD on service with high demand. They just want to make the passenger suffer with the crowds, standing all the way. That simple as that.
I think SBS is very lao kan.

yup, i dun understand why 165 which used to be a predominantly SD service has become a predominantly DD service when rarely has a DD 165 be filled to the brim before... So unlike 74 when the buses will almost always be filled to the brim in the morning by the time the bus reaches MacRitchie... And can someone enlighten me why there are so many VSOs in operation on service 25? It's not as if it's some special kind of service right... Think 74 deserves better buses lorz...
