Some enquiries

  Hi all, i been wanting to find answers to some of my queries which are listed as follows:
  
  1) Anyone has pictures of how the buses are built, and how they are serviced, maintained all this??
  
  2) The front bus no plate the red plate with white fonts, those are pasted on it?
  
  3) what processes do the bus go for after operation hours?
  
  4) for those buses with shortworking trips, aft the trip they loop back to the other interchange or wat?
  
  temp is all this..

  1) Yes, I do have. But I have to scan them first.
  
  2) Nope. They are not pasted on, AFAIK.
  
  3) Daily maintenance, eg cleaning of exteriors/interiors, fuel top-up etc.
  
  4) Depends. Let me give you 2 scenarios of short working trips; Service 2A & 24A.
  
  Service 2A: The bus will return straight to Changi Village Terminal after alighting pax at Bedok MRT.
  
  Service 24A: The bus will pick up pax from Tanah Merah MRT (towards Ang Mo Kio) after alighting pax at Tanah Merah MRT (towards Changi Airport).

  --then sometimes i notice halfway the buses go off empty. they go depots??

  What do you mean by "halfway", from stops or interchanges / terminals?
  
  If it's a short working trip, the bus could be schedule to pick up passengers at the other terminal (e.g. Service 2A went back to Changi Village to pick up passengers).
  
  If it's from interchange, like services 161 and 168, their buses go back to HGDEP and BNDEP respectively for re-fuel (most likely) during mid day.
  
  The most likely place is the depot. They can change shift, buses or re-fuel and do some simple maintainence.

  For question 2, I don't think it's pasted.
  
  For question 4, after the terminating bus stop, the bus will return back to the terminal/interchange where it started its trip from, and renumber back without the suffix.

  1. Yes, quite a few of us have pics.
  2. No, those are made of acrylic, as one piece.
  3.They go back to depot for refuel, wash.
  4. Depends. For Sv. 55A, after terminating at Siglap Rd the buses return to AMDEP.

  SP means SPare bus. These buses will serve any of the services in the particular depot when the need arises.

  SP stands for "SP"are bus.
