MB O405 with Hispano and perhaps Volgren bodies. Normally Tibs will deploy bendy buses on a new service few months after introduction, if the demand is there. They have to monitor the demand before deploying. -
Much of Sv. 184 fleet will go over to Sv. 966 as control of the former is being transferred to KJDEP from WLDEP.

I would not think this way. Rather, Tibs will use the Bendies from sv 184 to beef up other services that needed more high cap buses and release the 12m buses from the beefed up service. Sv 966 would be using 12m O.405 with Hispano and Volgren bodywork as the start. Regarding to whether it would have bendies, that would really depends on how Sv 966 picks up during the monitoring by TIBS.
As Sv 966 becomes part of the 'family' of Woodlands Depot, Sv 184 will not have Volgren Bendies anymore. The control of Sv 184's deployment would be moved over to Kranji depot with effect from 16 Nov, i.e. commencement of Sv 966. The empty slots of Sv 184's Volgren Bendies would be taken over by other Bendies in Kranji Depot, i.e. Habits, Hispano O.405G. -

Yes, L113s may appear. That is what happened to service 963 a while ago. Sighted a few Scania L113's on the streets near Upper Bukit Timah Road.
If you really wish to know whether Service 966 would use bendys, those staying in Yishun may get to the Yishun Interchange early, about 8am, on the Sunday, on the date Service 966 would be launched.
Look at the bendy's bus park(where Service 851 and 854 bendys always park), if you're lucky, and I mean real lucky, you may get to see some unknown(not from Yishun) bendy's displaying the 966 electronic rego. Saw the same thing when Service 963 was introduced. These buses would later depart for WRI, I believe. The bendy (TIB 1222 C) I took later on Service 963 was one of the 2 I saw parked at Yishun. -

What is the fastest way (except by cab!) to get from Upper East Coast Road to Woodlands Road? Reaaally need to find the fastest route soon.... or a new job, i guess...

you have to take a bus to marine parade road then then 966.at woodlands centre road there is bus 178,856,903,911,912,913 and sbstransit 170.after u take 966 alight at bus stop next to marsiling mrt station ,cross the bridge and take 856.

will there be all mercedes volgren on 966 on the first day ?i guess maybe because tibs wants to make a good impression hence use newer bus like in the beginning of 965 i saw some volgren.maybe tibs will do the same for 966.

You may also take service 14 to Tanah Merah MRT, or service 608 to Bedok MRT and take the train. -
Hmm... I took 854 today (TIB1148J) and strange thing is there were 3 sets of bus guides being displayed... 2 were for 854 and the other set was for 966. Does this mean that this Bendy might be used for 966 in the near future or is it just TIBS trying to publicise the 966 route to the commuters?

Publicity exercise lah. As predicted Sv. 966 fleet is full O405, with only one Volgren (TIB 972C). Loads are quite healthy for first day service, many of the buses had some standees.
Journey time from WDL - Marine Parade is 45 mins, faster than the estimated 1 hour. WDL - Jln TPY is about 20 mins. Looks like Sv. 966 will get O405Gs in due course, thanks to the loads. This turns out not to be another Sv. 985 after all.
