MB 0405 has the highest chance of being deployed on this service. And don't expect any bendy bus.Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:may i know what bus model will be deployed on bus service 966?

I would not think this way. Rather, Tibs will use the Bendies from sv 184 to beef up other services that needed more high cap buses and release the 12m buses from the beefed up service. Rather impossible for Tibs to deploy Bendy Buses on the very first day.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Much of Sv. 184 fleet will go over to Sv. 966 as control of the former is being transferred to KJDEP from WLDEP.
Do you think that demand is enough for bendies to be deployed on service 966?Originally posted by off_service:MB O405 with Hispano and perhaps Volgren bodies.
Normally Tibs will deploy bendy buses on a new service few months after introduction, if the demand is there. They have to monitor the demand before deploying.
Service 966 can reach Marine Parade within 1 hour from Woodlands. I'm sure the service has potential, as it is the ONLY service in Woodlands to service Eunos/ Marine Parade area.Originally posted by tranquilice:Do you think that demand is enough for bendies to be deployed on service 966?
Hope it won't become the second service 985.Originally posted by off_service:Service 966 can reach Marine Parade within 1 hour from Woodlands. I'm sure the service has potential, as it is the ONLY service in Woodlands to service Eunos/ Marine Parade area.
From my understanding (after seeing some schedules of drivers') Tibs interchanges are also available as "depot" for buses to park at night.Originally posted by mercedes_hispano:Yes, L113s may appear. That is what happened to service 963 a while ago. Sighted a few Scania L113's on the streets near Upper Bukit Timah Road.
If you really wish to know whether Service 966 would use bendys, those staying in Yishun may get to the Yishun Interchange early, about 8am, on the Sunday, on the date Service 966 would be launched.
Look at the bendy's bus park(where Service 851 and 854 bendys always park), if you're lucky, and I mean real lucky, you may get to see some unknown(not from Yishun) bendy's displaying the 966 electronic rego. Saw the same thing when Service 963 was introduced. These buses would later depart for WRI, I believe. The bendy (TIB 1222 C) I took later on Service 963 was one of the 2 I saw parked at Yishun.
Yes, TIBS interchanges can be used as bus parks. Not so for SBST it seems. Haven't been down to Bishan late so I don't know.Originally posted by off_service:From my understanding (after seeing some schedules of drivers') Tibs interchanges are also available as "depot" for buses to park at night.
Do you actually mean Woodlands Rd from Ten Mile Junction up to Kranji MRT? Or Woodlands Centre Rd near the checkpoint?Originally posted by bells:What is the fastest way (except by cab!) to get from Upper East Coast Road to Woodlands Road? Reaaally need to find the fastest route soon.... or a new job, i guess...Will the new 966 help?

Take service 10 to Tampines Ave 5 (Blk 938.), transfer to service 168 to Woodlands Regional interchange, then transfer to services 178, 856, 911 or 913 to Woodlands Centre Rd (if this is what you mean) or services 960 or 961 to Woodlands Rd.Originally posted by bells:What is the fastest way (except by cab!) to get from Upper East Coast Road to Woodlands Road? More for publicity purposes. SMRT Sembawang and Woodlands stations have the service 966 posters. I guess Yishun and Admiralty would have them also.Originally posted by foxtrot1985:Hmm... I took 854 today (TIB1148J) and strange thing is there were 3 sets of bus guides being displayed... 2 were for 854 and the other set was for 966. Does this mean that this Bendy might be used for 966 in the near future or is it just TIBS trying to publicise the 966 route to the commuters?
