Circuitous Routes

bus 74 - From Buona Vista to Lornie Road..., imagine the route, from North Buona Vista Road->Dover Road->Commonwealth Ave West->Clementi Road->Bukit TImah Road->Adam Road->Lornie Road...
and compare that route with bus 165 -> From Holland V->Farrer Road->Adam Road->Lornie Road.
I used to travel from Holland V to Toa Payoh Central: Here're the 3 alternatives:
a. Take MRT from Buona Vista to Toa Payoh via Raffles Place.
b. Take Bus 145
c. Take Bus 165 along Holland Road and make transfer to Bus 157 along Lornie Road.
I always opt for alternative C! Despite bus transfer, it is faster and just as affordable as other options. -
try SBST 165 to Farrer Rd then SBST 153 to Toa Payoh Central.. saves u 10-15mins..!

I agree Boon Lay is too crowded, but it may be diffcult to divert bus services to Jurong East, cos factories nearer to Boon Lay.Originally posted by SBS9818A:I don't mind. Jurong East is relatively underutilized, if that is done it would free up some space at Boon Lay.

I dont think Service 30 154 157 and 174 will ever be amended, especially 30 154. This is because their last buses depart @0020 hrs daily to cater to the last bus arrival of the JIS at BL Int. If u've noticed 30 and 154's route, it cuts through many parts of singapore as they provide links between the west and the east for the workers to get home.Originally posted by Superbus:Yes! Yes! Upcoming CCL. We can't confirm now what services wouldn't be amended. IMO, there will be cases like service 62. Keep the distance short so as to fall within the PTC regulations. -
Ya quite true, Sv. 62 indeed does come to mind.
