Not very frequent, as far as I'm concerned towards the Eunos direction.Originally posted by th1988:What abt 154 on PM peak
Erm yeah, 72's frequency is quite fast but I'm talking about at night when the frequency is 10-15 minutes. There's a lot of people taking 72 from tampines at night and it would be better if their frequency is reduced to 5 minutes.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Sv. 72 frequency is one of the best, just looking at the number of buses exiting Tampines Int within 15 mins already gives you a good idea. Sv. 55 frequency isn't too bad but pales in comparison with Sv. 72, which, IMO, is the SBST service with best frequency besides the old SBS-operated Sv. 190.
Yes, Sv. 27 has quite a good frequency too. About 4-5 mins per bus.Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 27?
Because it's a high demand service and double deckers cannot be deployed, which explain the short frequency during peak hours.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Yes, Sv. 27 has quite a good frequency too. About 4-5 mins per bus.
Tibs had a Bendy Bus on trial on service 858. Although the bus is able to make it into the basements, in the end it did not worked out well due to load factor. Also, the articulated buses have to be manouvured very carefully in small lanes. Plus, if the bus had to park at the basement when the driver is taking a rest / sign in, I think it might cause a terrible jam in the basements, especially during peak hours.Originally posted by foxtrot1985:what about having the MB0405G transferred from 18 to 27 at least? i know 1 bus doesnt make much diff but at least it's better than nothing
I felt that majority of service 27 fleet is Mk3.Originally posted by off_service:Tibs had a Bendy Bus on trial on service 858. If the O405G is transferred to service 27, it means the bus need to transfer depot, from BNDEP to HGDEP.
Also I noticed that ever since service 27 has been extended to Hougang Central, most of the MK4s on service 89 went over to service 27, leaving service 89 with mostly MK3s and some VOs during peak hours.
I feel that both services 27 and 89 should have their fair share of MK4s. However, I do not know how SBST deploy the buses, but I feel that service 89 certainly deserves more MK4s, at least during peak hours.
If possible, the most it can ply service 27A.Originally posted by foxtrot1985:what about having the MB0405G transferred from 18 to 27 at least? i know 1 bus doesnt make much diff but at least it's better than nothing
