When HG South Int is closed amending the services there will really be a huge mess. SBST will go crazy trying to figure out how to amend them.Originally posted by foxtrot1985:Maybe can suggest to SBS Transit instead... Or when Hougang South interchange is shut down soon, they can extend 132 to Sengkang instead of Hougang Central. Although it's a bit hard to do so given 132's route of turning away from sengkang towards hougang south... Think it's more convenient for 132 to be extended to Serangoon Interchange and then 153 could be extended to Sengkang instead.
51 or 151 could also be extended to sengkang. My suggested route is for it to go by the 322 route (continue on along hougang ave 3) all the way to hougang point and then turn right and go by the 156 route... Very circuitous though, but it also primarily serves to replace 322 when Hougang South is shut down. Problem is both routes are very long already, especially for 51.
With the amended service 62 route, services 321 and 326 are expected to be withdrawn.Originally posted by SBS9818A:When HG South Int is closed amending the services there will really be a huge mess. SBST will go crazy trying to figure out how to amend them.
Possible. Very soon I think Sv. 321 and Sv. 326 will be assimiliated into Sv. 62 (amended).Originally posted by tranquilice:With the amended service 62 route, services 321 and 326 are expected to be withdrawn.
For what? Make my very fast and convenient link to Hougang disappear ah?Originally posted by xin1jun2:its more feasible if 153 gets extended to sengkang or punggol. at least can supplement svc 136 now
Service 62: SBSt very funny. they should keep the link of 62 to chinatown around. like as if old folks take NEL anyway. i think a lot of old folks will be disgusted with this

I don't see the need of service 62 looping at Lor 1 Geylang. It would be better it serves Sims Place or even Eunos.Originally posted by xin1jun2:its more feasible if 153 gets extended to sengkang or punggol. at least can supplement svc 136 now

He may mean extending service 153 but still serving Hougang Central, like services 72, 80 and 87.Originally posted by SBS9818A:For what? Make my very fast and convenient link to Hougang disappear ah?
Some of our fellow group members were suggesting to SBST to extend Sv. 153 to Sengkang following Sv. 85 route rather than introduce Sv. 119Originally posted by tranquilice:He may mean extending service 153 but still serving Hougang Central, like services 72, 80 and 87.
Then TIBS will have to sell CSS to SBST. The Jurong Island Services are now being operated by a private bus operator, for a contract period of 5 years(?). By the time the next contract is given, CSS is history.Originally posted by carbikebus:agreed with some members that css can't amend their routes and introduced new services, but it is possible if css became a member of sbs transit too.second thing, take over from tnc jurong island services and lastly withdrawn the 'city shuttle services' tag and instead just use the s'pore shuttle bus logo.about introduced a new service it is impossible,i too would like to see a 3rd public bus operators, but as what to do,just let nature take it course.
regards;happy always,anything can talk...
