Let's see..Originally posted by SBS9818A:Besides, BRAM is a bus park, like BNDEP, SLBP and ARBP.
BRAM stands for BRaddell Ang Mo kio.Originally posted by service_238:Let's see..
if BNDEP = Bedok North Depot
SLBP = Soon Lee Bus Park
ARBP = Ayer Rajah Bus Park
HGDEP = Hougang Depot
AMDEP = Ang Mo Kio Depot,
what does BRAM stand for(Especially the 'M' in BRAM)
It is a bus park. SBST HQ is just built on that plot of land. Do your research properly, please.Originally posted by th1988:It means Braddell Road Depot, it is not a bus park but SBS HQ!!!
It runs TPY feeders and some services like 28, 90, 143, 145, 157
It is also home to Comfort cab, Comfort Bus, City Cab, Delgro Eng.

157 gets VSO cameos occasionally too... Saw one 3 days ago on Monday. Anyway, sighting today:Originally posted by SBS9818A:FS, regarding your first statement, as far as I know:
Sv. 25
Sv. 56
Sv. 70
Sv. 133
Sv. 72
Sv. 76
Sv. 88
are totally controlled by AMDEP. The notable exceptions are Sv. 31, Sv. 21 and Sv. 28, AFAIK.
But Sv. 157 is controlled by SLBP and BRAM/AMDEP, and only gets a B10TL once in a blue moon. As for Sv. 88 there is bound to be one at least once every week.Originally posted by foxtrot1985:157 gets VSO cameos occasionally too... Saw one 3 days ago on Monday.
Hmm....... if SBS can get LTA / EZLink vendor to specially programme the system to suit their needs, I wonder why TIBS can't do that with service 966 since 858 is also specially programmed.Originally posted by off_service:I read somewhere that the EZ Link software for Airport services and service 170 are specially programmed for the service nature. I'm not sure if there's any other services with specially programming EZ Link software.

Neh... Sv 70 uses SBS 9827Z and SBS 9828 now.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Really? Looks like Sv. 70 is losing its B10TLs.
Neh...Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Can't they just put 2 VSOs on 143 ? I think they deserve the VSOs more then 25 .
I don't quite agree with that sentence. Would there be any bus company care about that?! Let me ask you this: Is the (old) Tampines Road a smooth road!? When I took a VSO on sv 72 and travelled along the road, it isn't as smooth as you thought.Originally posted by service_238:If SBST does that as a perm bus, I'll strike lottery
It's practically impossible because some of its fleet (esp LO 3-axle & MB0405) is despatched from SLDEP. Moreover Svc 143 goes through roads that have uneven surfaces (Telok blangah Rd & Pasir Panjang Rd)
If anyone had noticed carefully, all VSOs goes through roads that are 'near perfect' condition. but then again who knows SBST may just deploy them any day?![]()
I dun really agree on this. As you can see, SBST now operates by district. It's only the district that decides if it would want to bring in new buses. For the case of VO 2 Axle to BNL, SBST doesn't want Jurong Industrial Svcs to be full air-conditioned bus services. Also, the VO 2 Axle is the only type of non-a/c Double decker bus available now. This is the constraint for them. Since that's the case, they could only bring in VO 2 Axle for Jurong INdustrial Svcs. That goes the same to the non air-con Volvo Mk 2. However, i bet that you might ask why non-aircon Scania N113CRB are not transferred to the west. In my opinion, SBST would want them to stay within the central and east district till they are old and ready to be scrapped.Originally posted by SBS9818A:The good reason : SBST don't like pampering West services. Enough said.
Sorry... I forgot that part.Originally posted by SBS9816E:I don't quite agree with that sentence. Would there be any bus company care about that?! Also, most of the LO 3 Axle are from SLBP, therefore AMKDEP/BRAM might not have not much control over the double decker buses of Sv 143.
Service 966 is meant to be operated as a trunk service. Hence, there is no need for a specially programmed system for service 966.Originally posted by Yusry:Hmm....... if SBS can get LTA / EZLink vendor to specially programme the system to suit their needs, I wonder why TIBS can't do that with service 966 since 858 is also specially programmed.
BRAM's LOs are taken up by Sv. 143 and Sv. 157 mostly.Originally posted by service_238:Sorry... I forgot that part.
As for single-deckers on Svc 143, they're mostly from AMDEP. IMO, these MB 0405 (DM) can swap with Svc 105.BRAM has a minority of LO too.
