It is usually on sv 62. If you cannot spot it, perhaps the bus is under maintainence or SBST has other plans for the bus, like going to another service. You can try spotting at New Bridge Road at 6.45pm (1845 hr). The bus usually will be there.Originally posted by carbikebus:Latest I Saw Volvo Mk4 Articulated Is A Week Ago Serving No 18,But Where's Volvo Mk4 Longbus That Usually Serve Service 62?
For The Past 9 Days I Can't Spotted It?Is SBST MB0405G Volgren Articulated Still In Operations?Last Time I Saw This Bus Doing No 18 Route,But Nowdays Very Difficult To Spot This Bus Too,Hope Anybody Saw Can Inform Me Where Is It.Heard Rumours That Service 93 Will Be Amended Too,Is That True?I'm Hoping That SBST Will Purchased More Volvo's,Scania's & Dennis Singles,Double-Decks,Midi's & Possibly A Long Bus Too.
Wishing Too That Sbst Will Purchased Few 9.4m Midi's.
Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year To All Bus Lovers.
Agreed 100% With U,But I Already Feedback To Sbst If They Have Any Plans To Built Longbus Or Articulated Out Of Maybe Volvo Mk4 Strider/DM3500,BLE Or L94UB,The Reply Is Maybe. So For The Time Being Just Wait And See..Originally posted by ^tamago^:i think the longbus and the articulated bus is veri fine.. no need to sell them.. if it's maintenence, sell it to TIBS for a low cost and jus train them to repair can le..

I'm not sure of the model name but i know that SBST has/had 2 bendy buses.![]()
Yeah,You're Right.I Just Hope That SBST Won't Sell-Off The Longbus & Articulated Bus(Volvo's)It's Just So Unique & Comfortable To Board.Originally posted by off_service:Bus companies are not allowed to buy 2nd hand buses.
SBS Transit will be keeping the Volvo articulated bus but they are currently looking for buyers for the Mercedes O405G Volgren.Originally posted by carbikebus:Yeah,You're Right.I Just Hope That SBST Won't Sell-Off The Longbus & Articulated Bus(Volvo's)It's Just So Unique & Comfortable To Board.![]()
Just wondering who would be willing to buy it.Originally posted by off_service:SBS Transit will be keeping the Volvo articulated bus but they are currently looking for buyers for the Mercedes O405G Volgren.
Wrong. The B57s were sold to IRELAND. Current LTA regulations prevent SBST/TIBS from buying second-hand buses so SBST is more-or-less stuck with 999U.Originally posted by ^tamago^:Sweden? haha..
our submarines are made in Sweden.. and well, Singapore and Sweden have so much in common (except the climate perhaps) in terms of governance n stuff.. n our old Volvo B57s from the 1980s were sold to Sweden actually after they were decommission in Singapore.. however, this is jus a wild wild guess.. haha..=)
another thing.. if it's Mercedes O405G, then TIBS looks like a good buyer.. since their technicians are so used to servicing Mercedes O405Gs, it shld be very easy to get used to SBS's O405G articulated bus.. but i suppose TIBS fleet is already enough for its demand.. shld have asked TIBS when it was buying in the large batch of Habits..!
Can it manouver along Lor 1 Geylang? That's what I'm concerned about, since the road seems quite narrow.Originally posted by xin1jun2:i DO beleive that SBS997A that digusting long bus of 62 with bee hives... (lol) will decide to stay on the new 62.
sad to say i may probably not take the bus ever again since the bus simply is not good. its rear axle can be heard squeaking and also the air-con is now bee-hived

Then why do some 38xx series buses have TV Mobile? They were converted to air-con buses after the introduction of TV Mobile and if "it's a lesson learnt" as you say, why did they still install TVMobile on these buses?Originally posted by ^tamago^:as for TVMobile, it's a lesson learnt, but commuters are not to made to bear the costs (MediaCorp does) and it does make no sense putting those TVs back into warehouses to rot.. jus let it be.. at least tourists seem interested in those stuff that only we Singapore have..!=)
This particular bus is painted with the carrier man aircon advertisement rite?? My sec sch is around new bridge road last time....remembered clearly tt its the same carrier man advert thru' out my sec1 to sec 4. And ya.....u r sharp!! the bus is there around 6.45pm...not sure abt now though..Originally posted by off_service:It is usually on sv 62. The Mercedes Volgren O405G is still on service 18. Lately the bus is in operation very often, you can almost see the bus for the past few weeks throughout operations hours. Therefore, I believed there might be a buyer for it already as Singapore bus operators always uses the bus to the max when it is going off.
Yes, that is the bus. It is now painted in SBST livery.Originally posted by BonJovi:This particular bus is painted with the carrier man aircon advertisement rite?? From what I heard about the Scania L113s is that Tibs already don't intend to sell the bus. However, I cannot confirm if this is true as the buses are still available for sale on their website.Originally posted by carbikebus:pardon me,what is the exact timings;from mon to fri for the sbst articulated & longbus respectively?one of this days,i thought of boarding on this buses.
