To be more specific:Originally posted by alantanchunshyan:if i am not wrong ,u can board and alight at admiralty road west terminal but not at marina centre terminal.![]()
True. Orginally I thought all ex- Marine Parade Terminal services will be moved to it, instead all became loop services with service 196 extended to Bedok, making 3 Bedok - Clementi services.Originally posted by SBS9818A:There are boarding berths for Sv. 13 and Sv. 853 at Upp East Coast Ter. I feel Marine Parade services should be amended to terminate there, it is so damn underutilized! Only one and one-seventh services.
Yes, like TPY - Tampines, 3 services.Originally posted by off_service:True. Orginally I thought all ex- Marine Parade Terminal services will be moved to it, instead all became loop services with service 196 extended to Bedok, making 3 Bedok - Clementi services.
heh i suppose this works since buses travel times can be quite constand and hence suggest a simple linear relation with a general constant. i'lll keep this in mind...2.52(fare stages) + 5.6 minutes = total minutesOriginally posted by TIB1186Z:A general guideline:
Trunk Peak: T=2.52X+5.6 where T is time in minutes and X is no. of fare stages. Note that this formula gives an overestimate for services that are largely express like svc969. It should be accurate to 5mins, barring the fact of a major traffic congestion.
Hope it helps
Service 18 is about 35 minutes between Tampines and Bedok. The full trip takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.Originally posted by carbikebus:Anyone Can Pls Tell Me The Averages Journey Timing For Service 63 Eunos-Rumah Tinggi,13 YCK-Upp East Coast,980 Geylang-Admiralty,18 Bedok-Tampines,33 Bedok-Kent Ridge,853 Geylang-Yishun,3 Tampines-Yishun,100 Serangoon-Ghim Moh &,92 Ghim Moh-Science Park? Can Passengers Alight/Board At This Respective Terminals?Admiralty Rd West,Ang Mo Kio Depot,Buona Vista,Marina Ctr,Shenton Way,Tuas,Upp East Coast?I Notices That No Passengers Boarding Especially At Admiralty,Buona Vista,Ang Mo Kio Depot And Shenton Way.Hope You'll Gentleman The Bus Experts Can Solves This.
In my opinion, it is not accurate. Take service 2 for example, the estimated time to complete one-directional trip is 1 hour 10 minutes. By using the formula, that is 2.52(31 fare stages) + 5.6 = 83.72 minutes or 1 hour 23 minutes. Difference of 13 minutes.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:A general guideline:

I guess the formula goes according to the scheduled timetable? Sometimes drivers tend to drive faster than scheduledOriginally posted by tranquilice:In my opinion, it is not accurate. Another example, service 188 between AYE stop (near Clementi Stadium) and IMM stop.2.52(4 fare stages) + 5.6 = 15.68 minutes, however the actual time it takes is around 8 minutes.
I guess this formula works for a minimum number of stages and is less accurate for short distance trips. Probably most accurate for middle distance trips.Originally posted by tranquilice:Another example, service 188 between AYE stop (near Clementi Stadium) and IMM stop.2.52(4 fare stages) + 5.6 = 15.68 minutes, however the actual time it takes is around 8 minutes.
