The fat one was Ms Sharon Yong, not sure about the other one. I think they were not too happy about having us around.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:How did you find it ?
Well , personally I think it was a rush-tour especially the time when we wanted to take lots of photos while the 2 ladies , what are their names ?kept rushing us which I felt was totally unnecessary.Overall , I enjoyed the tour , the guys from SBST was nice enough to explain to us including the CNG bus which we saw and the bus driver for driving us around and talking to FS and myself.
Hope you guys had fun too .
Thanks Hao Rui for organising this bus depot trip.
Cheers all !!
This trip is not organised by "Singapore Buses" of sgForums, but some members from this forum joined the tour as they are invited (and know) by the organiser. Hence, the tour is classified as a "private tour".Originally posted by foxtrot1985:Next time when there's such tours, can inform me too? Don't want to miss these rare opportunities. Thanks.
nope. it is 7152. ya loh. very waste. they should scrap the scania 1st and keep these LO. at least there wont be a lack of DD.Originally posted by xin1jun2:yeah it was fun.
bit i thought it was cool they showed us how they paint bus ads and the technology involvoed and how they maintian the buses and such. certainly an eye opener for me.
IMHO: those two girls dun belong there when we were doing our thin'.
too bad we did not sit the LO2x. some of them are still road worthy for example the one we boarded to take pics with...7192 issit?

Scrap Scania hor? There will be lots of forumnites who would not hesitate to scrap you first.Originally posted by rancour5:nope. it is 7152. ya loh. very waste. they should scrap the scania 1st and keep these LO. at least there wont be a lack of DD.
Besides, if the forum is to organize any visit of this scale I don't recommend SBST, the staff who was in charge of organizing a visit give people a big headache.Originally posted by off_service:This trip is not organised by "Singapore Buses" of sgForums, but some members from this forum joined the tour as they are invited (and know) by the organiser. However, if there's any tour or event organised by this forum, those active participants will be invited.
I agree with you about scraping scania ... This bus is a total diaster.Lo 2 axles is so much better. Even the bus Chief Captain driver I talked to dislike the bus .Originally posted by rancour5:nope. it is 7152. ya loh. very waste. they should scrap the scania 1st and keep these LO. at least there wont be a lack of DD.
Ho ho ho, you may be wrong man , you are just one of the minorites that loves Scanias.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Scrap Scania hor? There will be lots of forumnites who would not hesitate to scrap you first.
Not as disastrous as B10M Mk III, the worst still has to be B10TLs. Drivers dislike the bus because for one reason, it is too powerful.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:I agree with you about scraping scania ... Do you mean "powerful" or really powerful? I remembered that someone disliked the bus for being to slow and underpowered?Originally posted by SBS9818A:Not as disastrous as B10M Mk III, the worst still has to be B10TLs. Drivers dislike the bus because for one reason, it is too powerful.
Really powerful. 1300 Nm of torque we're speaking leh. Ever taken a speeding Scania on Sv. 35 before? Or even Sv. 157 along Lornie Rd?Originally posted by off_service:Do you mean "powerful" or really powerful? I remembered that someone disliked the bus for being to slow and underpowered?
Not only too powerful , the bus is too shakey and too light to handle and the scania braking is terrible. Anyway , Mark 3 is another @### bus .Originally posted by SBS9818A:Not as disastrous as B10M Mk III, the worst still has to be B10TLs. Sorry to tell you this, but all the Scanias I took (no matter SBST or TIBS) had disappoint me utterly, comfort wise. That is why I had the tendency to skip any Scanias that come along if I had time. Of course, had to board reluctantly if the service is a Scania-only service.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Really powerful. 1300 Nm of torque we're speaking leh. Amen to that.Originally posted by off_service:Sorry to tell you this, but all the Scanias I took (no matter SBST or TIBS) had disappoint me utterly, comfort wise. You may like Scanias for their power, which I totally agree, but it failed terrible to me because their comfort level is terrible.
I am sorry but hardly have I taken any Scania which has disappointed me except some OAC Scanias. What are your reasons, comfort-wise? I would love to hear about it and debunk your theories.Originally posted by off_service:Sorry to tell you this, but all the Scanias I took (no matter SBST or TIBS) had disappoint me utterly, comfort wise. I am very particular about comfort, the shakiness of the engines,Originally posted by SBS9818A:I am sorry but hardly have I taken any Scania which has disappointed me except some OAC Scanias. What are your reasons, comfort-wise? I would love to hear about it and debunk your theories.
This will turned into a huge debate . I am closing this thread .Originally posted by SBS9818A:Although ride comfort may be bumpy, it is still superior to anything offeed by any Volvo or Merc, and the engine provides a smooth and quiet ride.
