anyone remember the old bus 85?

  anyone remember in the eighties... there was this bus 85 that goes between hougang south to sim ave (loop)?
  
  And the ppl taking that bus was really very little... haha....

  I believe many of us would remember that service. The following was it's route.
  
  Hougang Int - (Hougang St 21) - Upp Serangoon Road, Geylang Bahru, Kallang Bahru, Boon Keng Road, Upp Boon Keng Road, Geylang Lor 1 and Sims Avenue.
  
  Return via, Geylang Lor 3, Upp Boon Keng Road, Boon Keng Road, Kallang Bahru, Jln Kolam Ayer, (Bendemeer Road), (Whampoa North), (Serangoon Road), Upper Serangoon Road, (Hougang St 21) and Hougang Int
  
  There was another service 162 that plied from Ang Mo Kio to Sims Avenue, via Boundary Road (like service 24) and the rest similar to service 85.

  Can anyone confirm whether the old service 85 used the Nissan U21S demonstrator? I vaguely remember that the old service 85 had a bus which looked almost like the Tibs U31SCNs.

  well yes u r right. the UD demon was used on 85. its rego is 2452. it also used on 14 and 328. for more info check the SBH.
  
  menawhile 85 also used merc OF1417 mNZ bodywork(HG depot ones..kope from 83 sometimes)
