Ez-Link Fare Enquiry Machine at EUN MRT STN

fyi, there is this ez-link enquiry machine (not in use) installed at eunos MRT station.. it only has a LCD and a card scanner similar to those in AVMs.. it shld be an enquiry machine lah, but i dun see them elsewhere and enquiry can currently be done at GTM, AVM, PSC etc, which is more than enough..

Probably... but this is the first time i've seen this... have u seen it in use before? it's a veri lightweight machine..

no no no... much thinner than that, only a small (about) 10-inch LCD with a glass card scanner that's the same as those found on traditional AVMs.. and it's grey colour.. and it did not list Eunos MRT as one of the locations of the AVMs.. maybe if i pass by i can snap a photo with my "lao ya pok" camera..

So now there are two different versions of the new-gen AVM? The one at Eunos must be a prototype, and the pink one for general production.

nopes, it is not AVM.. it only has an LCD and card scanner.. no ATM card slot or buttons.. i wonder if it is touch screen..

I have read Straits Times reports and saw accompanying picture. This machine is installed in schools. Parents can activate the top up of their child's ezlink cards, and the top up will be effected when the child presents the card at the machine in the school. This is what i remember from the report, too bad i did not cut it.
No idea what is it doing at Eunos station, perhaps it;s there waiting to be installed at Eunos Primary School which is currently being rebuilt?

when u exit from the ticket gates turn left and it is at the end of the row of GTMs near the toilet.. very thin and concealed stainless steel thingy with a grey colour finishing on the LCD and card scanner.. looks like a tall monster with its mouth opened..!=P

Oh that funny grey pillar with the LTA NOT IN USE paper stuck over the screen? There's one at Yishun MRT too, besides the Transitlink office...all i saw was an ezlink card scanner.

anyway those who live in the east and pass by Eunos probably can try to look out from the paid area without exiting, it's visible from there too.. go towards the toilet side of the two rows of ticket gates.. -

I haven't seen the one ay Yishun yet, but the colour scheme and design as described fits those i saw at eunos and since it is also not in use, i have 99.99% confidence that the Yishun machine is the one we are talking about..Originally posted by SBS9818A:Wait, I think I may have seen the one at Yishun MRT.
