I was thinking that when the PGL LRT starts running, would SBS withdraw service 83?

to answer a few quesitons: no punggol LRT si not running yet. but u r half right. they are already doing trials even though the silly stations are half complete. i find it starnge that the tracks are ready liao but the stations are not. service 83 and 84 should have been withdrawn by ages ago but i dunno what SBS is doing.
service 62 is good connection to hougang central dman fast...at any rate it is expected that SBS withdraw 83 and 84 once the lRT starts or before it starts since svc 84 is pretty much covered by mny other buses in punggol now.

i was at Punggol MRT yesterday and i saw this two LRT cars parked at Punggol Town Centre (PTC) station upstairs.. a notice is pasted on the streetwards windscreen, which, in chinese, says that they are Cars 20 and 22, and that the northward direction is known as the "A Route" and southward is "B Route".. jus stating what i saw..
anyways they have a notice saying Entrance A is closed from 3th Dec 03 but apparently it is half-opened (2 out of 4 doors working) and so is Entrance B half-opened... strange.. -
Probably the route A and route B are the routes to be used in events like LRT breakdown? likely 83 and 84 will withdraw when LRT is implemented.
for 62, it took me less than 35 mins to reach Paya Lebar.
there is still room for improvment for number 3. it is getting too slow to get to Tampines from Punggol 21 -
