Cannot be. Many times when I was at Boon Lay area Sv. 179 HAD at least four 3-axle LOs and occasionally a 2-axle VO.Originally posted by Nothingie:Made a very interesting observation over the weekend...
I stay at the bus-stop before service 179 enters into a loop at NTU.
While waiting for 179 at the bus-stop, i noted the bus opposite the road which was going into NTU. I waited abt another 10 min. The same bus came out from NTU. Along the way to the interchange, I did not see anymore 179 opposite the road, so there's only 1 bus servicing?
Can't they have 2 single-deck buses instead of having pple wait abt 15 min for a double-deck if the demand is not high enuff?
think mebbe cos it was weekend?Originally posted by SBS9818A:Cannot be. Many times when I was at Boon Lay area Sv. 179 HAD at least four 3-axle LOs and occasionally a 2-axle VO.
Even on weekends Sv. 179 has at least 4 buses in operation.Originally posted by Nothingie:think mebbe cos it was weekend?
i was refering to only having 1 on service... the no. of buses in the interchange dun matter to the passengers...
u can have 100 buses in the interchange, but it dun mean anything...
guess i muz be veri unlucky then, cos i always haf to wait more than 15-20 min for the bus on weekends...Originally posted by SBS9818A:Even on weekends Sv. 179 has at least 4 buses in operation.
Yes, you're indeed very unlucky. Honestly speaking the frequency is much faster than that, about 5 mins per bus, considering there are 6-7 buses at any one time on Sv. 179Originally posted by Nothingie:guess i muz be veri unlucky then, cos i always haf to wait more than 15-20 min for the bus on weekends...
but 4 buses in service on a route tat's abt 30min, makes the frequency? 7.5 min?
damn, i m just too unlucky...
Still got 9062 and others loh.Originally posted by xin1jun2:how can there be one bus on 179 when i can recall perm buses of 179 like 9059 9065 7236??
ZYX
Add 9059. Some of the 3-axle LOs are shared with Sv. 242 during peak hours.Originally posted by PT21:

9131,9140,9152,9156,9162,
7217,7236,7238,7242
That all I know,
Yes it counts. Anyway most of them are on the road at any time. Sv. 179 together with Sv. 242 have one of the best frequencies at BNL.Originally posted by Nothingie:service 179 frequency on weekends is 5 min?
like i said, it doesn't matter if a large fleet of buses is allocated to a particular service... if they are not on the road, it doesn't count...
if there are 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 buses for the service in the depot, tat count?
Yes, borrowing Sv. 179 LO3X. With frequency of 2 minutes.Originally posted by PT21:
Service 242 is full super during weekend and only 1 or 2 MBO405.

The slogen which was used by Liu QianYi.
7273J has a tinted rear window, if I remember correctly. 276Y has since settled on Sv. 242, and I believe the accident was between 276Y and a Sv. 147 3-axle VO, not the one involving TIB 700X.Originally posted by PT21:
Still remember the accident at Clementi Int involving svc 173(700X)
The bus of service 166 is SBS 276Y.
After accident, it was on service 242 until today.
And 7273J which involved in an accident on service 74 last mth, now 7273J was on service 249.
I beg to differ something: SBS 276 Y was serving Sv 78 during that incident. It's not Sv 166, since SBS 276Y is under SLBP.Originally posted by PT21:
