bendy bus on 167?

  the bus is usually crowded on 167 on weekends .maybe can consider having bendy bus .any comments on this?

  Yes, svc 167 is rather crowded, but the main issue its that a bendy can't navigate the tight U-turn at Sembawang Rd End Terminal, can it?

  Yes it can. A Habit bus was put on trial on service 167 before. However, it seems that the low ridership is the main cause of the service not having bendies.
  
  Also, even though service 167 is packed, there isn't a time where there are some passengers unable to board the bus.

  Sv. 167 can accomodate O405Gs but the u-turn at Sembawang Rd End is a little too tight for comfort. I've also never seen Sv. 167 buses pack to the brim before, and at times the ridership is well, not very high, so it does not justify the deployment of bendies.

  853 is also crowded even on weekdays but tibs have not put bendy bus in it yet.

  Only during peak hours, and probably due to the tight turn at Lor 1 Geylang Ter.

  I hope that 167 will terminate at the new Sembawang bus interchange, so it can get...Bendies!

  Most likely it will, and new feeder Sv. 984 from Sembawang Int - Sembawang Rd End(Loop). 3 or 4 buses can be used on it to help cope with the load on weekends and holidays. Other times 2 buses should suffice with frequency of 25 mins.

  How did you know that there will be a new feeder svc called 984? And where did you get the information on 984?

  I do believe the mentioned service 984 is just a guess.

  if 167 is transferred to sembawang bus interchange,the terminal at sembawang rd end would be empty .if this is the case,any chance of new service using the terminal?

  Likely that terminal will be closed, and a new feeder service be launch to cover the shortened route of Sv. 167 from proposed Sembawang Int - Sembawang Rd end.
