I took 857 from my house to suntec. :/ I hate those indians who boarded the same time as me. :/ The whole time I was waiting for the bus to arrive, they were staring at me. As if they havent seen a woman before. Blah. Then in the bus, holy crap. They were like yelling at each other, one of them is like leaning close to me even the bus is not THAT crowded. :/ *fumes* When I reached suntec, one of them whistled into my ears so loudly that I could even feel my ear drums vibrate! :/

I had a rathar exciting bus ride on New Year's Eve. I was riding on sv. 154, heading to Dunearn Rd where I need to change to sv. 74 to get to my workplace. I was running late when I saw a no. 74 bus in front of my bus. Not wanting to wait for another one, which could take ages, I embarked on a "hot pursuit" in the hope of being able to overtake the no. 74 bus so that I could catch it at the next stop. Dunearn Rd after 10 pm was quite deserted and we passed a number of empty bus stops which made the chase even more difficult. Then my bus was caught at a traffic light and I thought it was all over. As I contemplated my next move, my bus caught up with that no. 74 bus and the chase resumed! But I lost out when my bus failed to overtake before Adam Rd. So I continued my journey to Whitley Rd and took a Leyland Olympian on sv. 132, my final bus ride of 2003.

My last ride for 2003 is onboard service 143 from Outram Park back home on 31 Dec. It was half empty due to the countdown events, usually the buses were packed on the night of holiday eve.

AFAIK, buses of service 143 are very empty (towards Toa Payoh) near the end of operation. -

193 Boon Lay interchange..this service i have been comlaining for the past year...no improvement made..... late/cancelled scheduled without notice...then wrote in to query them, they give excuses like no driver, bus breakdown etc etc...now lagi good, they took away the bus schedule mointor..... Make their problem become our probelm and they sit down there happily collecting their fare.
Wonder is it worth paying them so much for a feeder service with such standard? I even wrote to PTC but nothing is done...all just NATO. -

u ahve to go back some 15 years to see svc 2 in 198x. thne it was op by BBDEP and maybe if svc 2 had not been shortened to NBR now it would be uysing JB mark 3s.
at any rate svc 2 does have many mark 3s buses wiht no TV. for exmaple SBS637
