Something's wrong with 238

238 seems to have an average of 6-8 mins frequency during off peak ever since Dec holidays.
I waited 8 mins as I missed the bus at the Int.
Anybody knows why the buses disappear during the off peak even till the starting of academic year. -

But the frequency was 5 mins during off peak before that. Some trips also could not cope with the demand. However, the behind trip was 30% loaded.

As a 'representitive' of this service, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with my dear 238. But first I would like to know your trip details before i can explain how 238 runs during that period.
The current timesheet of 238 drivers has been in effect since September 1st 2003. -

OK I was heading to TPY Polyclinic at 1050 when I board a 0405. As for afternoon, I was boarding at around 1218 with 3672. -
Today?
Your SBS 3672 S ride was on schedule. No problem about that. According to the timesheet it is supposed to reach the Interchange at 1227.
As for your MB0405 ride, it was SBS 494 J i guess?
Did you check the driver? If the driver is either a bald man or an old wrinkled and haggard man, this bus was behind schedule by THREE min. It was supposed to depart @1047. The reason for your 8 min wait is probably due to the previous bus leaving on schedule @1041.
For your information: the frequency of 238 from 0900 - 1100 is 6-8min due to the fact that the drivers are having their meal break.

No doubt about it. It's SBS 494 J.
If that's the case, the driver is more or less on schedule. The previous driver might have left before schedule.
This bus was supposed to depart @1052, 5 min after the previous bus, just as I said earlier. -
If anyone of you have any queries comments updates or complains about Service 238, pls post them here. I'd be more than glad to attend to you.

service 238? boy this fella has soem probs. i find that the bus cna be fully packed during peak hours. at any rate ZYXbus uses the ex 106 habits on 238 nowadays...so shd be no porblems there. plus the freq has bene adjusted to 3 mins per bus druing peak. off peak is 7 mins per habit bus

If the freq is 3 min during peak, there'll be a lot of brunching. I never seen the morning peak before because I'm either in school or still in bed :p
In the evening peak, 2 buses will be brunched together by the time it reaches FTP Pri Sch. 4 min is adequate enough even though the loading is 80-100%

It is mostly a reprint with the exception of the admendment of a few departure times at around 5pm. -

New Saturday Timesheet. Revised WEF 17th Jan. I managed to get some of the evening ones. I expect the Sunday's timesheet to be revised too. I'll check it out tomorrow.
Note: Frequency of 238 after 6pm on a saturday is an average of 8 min. Thanks to the new scheduling. -
Another thing, how many buses are there for 238, 10?
As the trip takes 30 mins, rest time 10 mins, and frequency is 4 mins (Peak), so isn't that 10? Or there are more? -

Evening peak there's 8 buses and 1 crossover bus from 26.
Morning peak there's 8 buses and 1 crossover bus from 90.
I've never witnessed the morning crossover bus before so i cant be sure if it is true or not. I reckon it is 95% true. The remaining 5% is for me to see it myself

The morning Xover is SBS 3720 L.
The evening Xover is SBS 512 R
Morning peak round trip takes 30 min while evening peak trip takes 28 min. Normal weekday off-peak takes 27 min while super off-peak during weekdays can range between 23-26 min. These timings are according to the timesheet i obtained but generally 238 drivers always arrive abt 3-5min before time. -
238, this few days 3720L is sick or adsent from 90, oftenly seeing a ALE/DM 0405 in its place.

The bus is probably in maintainance or something, don't worry about it.

SBS 3722 G has disappeared for the past 2-3 days. I can see SBS 32 J parking at bram from the 238 i was in.
As expected, new revised Sunday timesheet.. For the morning timesheet, it's mostly a reprint except for 1 or 2 amendments to the dep times. -
Sunday Evening timesheet practically almost remain unchanged... I dont know why on earth SBST reprints it.. Maybe because of the handwritings on the timesheet? lolz..
For the first time my copying of timesheets only took one hour. It used to take at least 1.5 hrs. -
