Something's wrong with 238

service 238... i hab sumting to complain abt this particular bus..it is always so freaking crowded..n the frequency durinf off-peak hrs is freaking long when dere r many ppl

When did u take the bus or what time did you notice this at the Interchange? The frequency varies from time to time but on sundays its quite standard because there're lesser buses in operation. SBST tries to maximise the capacity on this service. That explains the reason the the full-pax trips. -

I'm now left wth Weekday morning timesheets to copy which is very difficult especially during term time. -
3693 is a 'peak hour' bus on weekdays. It doesnt operate from morning till night. This bus usually starts at 0600, ends its morning run @0900 before returning to bram. Just before noon, it'll come out again for its afternoon and evening peak runs before returning to the depot @1900+.Originally posted by th1988:I took 3722 at around 1150 on 238
Also something weird happened today, 3693 and some other buses came out from HQ without the 238 desto. It came one after another. What happened?

There is another 'peak hour' bus. This bus is SBS 3680 T for today - 26th Jan. Similar to 3693, it operates at around the same time with the exception that this bus goes back to bram @1130 and goes back into service at 1520.

As for other buses, i reckon there're buses of 28 143 145. 3693 had to run w/o its desto because 238 serves one bus stop along braddell rd, just after the bram exit. If the desto is put up, people would mistaken that its in service when its not. -

Ever since the new weekday timesheet for 238 was out, there has been LONG queues at the 238 berth right up to the transitlink ticket office. I wonder whether is there an increase in passenger demand, or the buses are becoming infrequent? I double checked with the old timesheet and found out that there's no change in the frequency and the departure times of the service... I think its term time.

New 238 weekday timesheet with effect from 9th Feb 2004.
It applies to the crossover buses as well. -

It's because 3720L has it's timetable changed as of fleet changes on 90.
So, they have to change 238 timetable as well. -
