Need some help,My colleague is opening a new minimart @ 536 Upp serangoon rd which i got no idea where is the exact location.Some friend say it is near serangoon int while the other indicates that it is one bus stop past the int.I'm going to pay a visit to his minimart on mon the 2nd and i would like to know what bus service went there from geylang(joo chiat cplx)?

The minimart is located at the junction of Sunshine Ter and Upp Serangoon Rd. It is near the junction of Braddell Rd and Upp Serangoon Rd. Take 13 to Serangoon Rd or Upp Serangoon Rd and take 107 133 147 853 from there. Alight at the first bus stop after the Braddell Rd Junction. Hi guys,Do you think that the future public transportations will be rail systems? Buses,I think that the only trunk services which would survive will be those plying expressways and not so long journeys(Direct).Feeders,Intratown,Townlink & Industrial will also survive dependings on the routes.Don't you think so?

No, buses will be complementing MRTs like 2 and 147
Buses will also link up NT to NT like 142 as it is not possible for MRT to be everywhere. -

My friend, I think you are not observant enough. It has happened and will continue to happen. The Government have made their minds that the MRT network will become the backbone of Singapore's transportation system. Buses/LRT system will act as feeders and complement the MRT wherever an MRT system is not possible or viable.Originally posted by service_238:If that happens, FREAK IT! The 1st phase of the NEL Rationalization Exercise is one good example of bus diversions to FEED the NEL system. Many of the current trunk services act as feeders to the MRT system along its route.

As i mentioned before that my mum used to hate SBST buses & their services,Now i noticed that she is changed after her recents trips on SBST buses with me on the VSO(2
,Trident(80),MK4 Articulated(1 & a Scania L94 UB(51.She never board all this buses mention buses before and after the trips,Suprisingly she said,Wa,"This buses now got standard ha,Can even compared to TIBS buses lah"refering to the VSO,Trident & L94UB.About the articulate bus,She was so suprised to know and saw that SBST do have articulate bus for all this while she always thought that only TIBS do have them.
She even told me that SBST in the east is very fortunate with all this kind of buses compared to her place in jurong west where mostly the buses are quite "Old" for her.Why she dislike SBST is that during her pegnancy of my me,The bus driver closed the rear door while she was alighting and she fell down and the driver even told her that she is late w/o apologised,Thanks God nothing happen!Another thing that she told me that most SBS drivers those days had attitude problems.That the reasons why she liked TIBS service & buses so much that when last time we used to stay in Bukit Batok,She hopes that TIBS will take over the bus services in the area and coincidencely it happens.Right now i think that she is different due to recent trips to the Northeast,Central & East.Well i think it is slightly off topics,So goodbye! -
