Have anyone of you here suggested a service route amendment and/or introduction of a new service, submitted to the bus companies, and it got implemented?
If you did submit, regardless it got implemented or not, kindly list the service number and details of suggestion here.

i have asked tibs to admend 167 to serve canberra link instead of sembawang rd and it came true.

Aiyo, th1988 has done it so many times he's lost count.
I suggested for additional shortworking trips for Sv. 88 during school dismissal times but obviously it didn't work out. -
I made quite a number of suggestion.
1) Service 8 - They took my suggestion to divert to Upp Aljunied to allow calls to PTP stn. As for the extension, they will take note of this when they review their services. But you knew of the turn right constraint
2) Service 333, 334, 335 - It was extended to 0100 after my suggestion
3) Service 265, 269 - It was extended to serve the last MRT
4) Service 3 - It extended its op hrs to serve the last MRT at PSR on both directions.
5) Service 700 - Calling along Dunearn and Bt Timah Road
6) Service 378, 379 - I made a suggestion to make it merge with 371 to call Sengkang, it was rejected but I got a surprise when they merge it with 103.
7) Service 857 - I suggested of bendies during weekend of the high demand
Service 61 - I complaint abt the irritating brunched up trips but still brunching still occurs
9) RSAF PLAB services on why there is no AC and now LTA is investigating it. -
Request for sbs997 to serve 60 during peak hours still pending
Request a new service from woodlands to marine parade that it 966
Request a dennis trident dd to serve 154 but till now still nothing

Requested a more direct Woodlands / Sembawang service. Was already in plan when I requested.
Request for service 859 to extend beyond 12mn or introduce NR services into Sembawang
Service 859 last bus timing extended from 2330 hr to 2345 hr.
NR9 was introduced to operate between Marine Centre and Sembawang.
Request for bendies for service 859
Habit buses progressively introduced to service 859 after TIB 1049 L started operating on 18 June 2000.
Request for services 858 and 969 to serve Sembawang
Tibs were unable to do so as it will not be as direct and fast compared to going through Gambas Ave. -
Well...I guess a lot of ppl did send in some suggestions at the same time...dun tink they would act on juz one lone suggestion.

At least a low floor bus was on for someone who wants LFADDs. -
I suggested for shortworking trips on 238 due to the high demand during peak hours. It fell through... It has since upped its frequency and i'm quite satisfied by it =)
I suggested that when the temp TPY was in operation.
238A from Braddell Rd - TPY skipping Lor 6 bus stops (3 pairs) during morning peak.
238B from TPY - Braddell Rd skipping Lor 6 bus stops (3 pairs) during evening peak.
I find it cool but i think SBST dont find it practical enough. -

Should service 232 continue to use Toa Payoh Lor 4 and Central? Or just turn right into Lor 6 and right again into Lor 2? Service 10 to extend back to Clementi interchange, but using West Coast Rd, Clementi Ave 2 and C'wealth Ave West. Ever since service 30 was amended to ply ECP, passengers in Clementi West took a longer journey time to Suntec City and Nicoll Highway. Service 10 is now the alternative to these places, however have to transfer along Pasir Panjang Rd. Yes, although services 97 and 106 (plus 502) do go to Suntec City, but none of them ply Clementi West. -

When the original TPY was around, there was a ban from turning right from the interchange exit at Lor 6. Because the access road to old TPY interchange could also be used by cars, right? I miss the old TPY interchange, it holds lots of memories. I had wrote in many, but only one (or two) got implemented.
a. A direct connection between Holland Ave and Commonwealth MRT. (TIBS 5 was withdrawn then due to start up of BPLRT)
Fortunately, TIBS implemented TIBS 970. Probably it had received far too many complaints regarding its withdrawal.
b. Written for a more direct link between BV MRTand NUS. (SBST 95 terminate at NUH then). Now SBST 95 has been extended to NUS.
Here are some that were not get implemented:
a. To have SBST 145 and SBST 32 loop at Holland Ave, Holland Road, North Buona Vista Road and Commonwealth Ave West, rather than terminating at BV Terminal.
The looping enables BV residents more services to link to MRT stations.
b. To have a direct link between Dover MRT to Kent Ridge via Commonwealth Ave West, Clementi Road, University Highway and Kent Ridge. I had proposed for extending SBST 145, 32, 111 or 100 to be extended to Kent Ridge.
c. Science Park 2 (not 1) and BV MRT can be better linked. SBST 200 is only 4 bus stops away. However many are not aware and thus SBST 200 was not popular. See the crowd at Clementi Interchange boarding for Science Park 2 Shuttle Bus service, SBST 200 does not warrant such fate.
Science Park 2 can be better linked if there is a slip road linking itself to South Buona Vista Road.
d. I had requested for TIBS 61 or TIBS 75 to amend to ply between Clementi Road and Dover MRT along Commonwealth Ave West.
Currently SBST had monopoly with SBST 74 plying between Clementi Road and Dover MRT.
e. Many years back when SBST 200 loop at Sixth Ave, I had proposed for its extension to Dunearn Road to NTU/NIE. That shall allow many students along Dunearn Road to have more direct link to BV MRT stations. This amendment allows BV residents to have a more direct link to Bukit Timah Road and Dunearn Road. Imagine spending $1.13 to travel to Chinese High from Holland Drive with SBST 74. Unfortunately it was not considered.
f. I had complaints for cutbact=k of TIBS 106 to suntec. And had proposed for it to loop at Sungei Road (Near Sim Lim Square) instead. My argument why have an amended route that ply exactly with existing TIBS 77??? -
For 106, it is said that Tibs was forced to withdraw it after Orchard Road and end it at Suntec.
As for the extension, 145 was once a Kent Ridge, can someone vertify it as I once saw it on a SBS webiste before with NAC CRB "TPY 145 Kent Ridge" -
PTC or LTA that forced TIBS to cut back to Suntec? Abit mixed up with their roles. Thought all routes amendments and fare adjustments were under PTC.
Anyway I feel sorry to TIBS. now TIBS 106 run at very low capacity at certain timings.
I feel that a bus service should ply between 2 housing estates via City or Orchard or Raffles Place. With that, the bus load would be very much average.
Not sure about the history of SBST145..., I will not take SBST 145 to ChinaTown and beyond from Commonwealth Ave. The journey was exceptionally long, from Commowealth Ave, to Redhill, Henderson Road, World Trade Center, Keppel Road, Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown... I was not surprised if it did terminate at Kent Ridge earlier. -

Sv 10 was shortened as of 188 as it links to Clementi now. However, you know who operates 188 now.

Yes, service 145 was once a Toa Payoh - Kent Ridge service, via Telok Blangah Rd and Pasir Panjang Rd. Because SBST introduced service 188, so service 10 was cut short to Kent Ridge, but service 188 does not ply Clementi Central area, it only ply AYE and Clementi Ave 6, this made many passengers furious.Originally posted by off_service:I think rather good idea.
