You mean a new service 88B? (Is service 88A still around?)Originally posted by SBS9818A:Aiyo, th1988 has done it so many times he's lost count.
I suggested for additional shortworking trips for Sv. 88 during school dismissal times but obviously it didn't work out.
Should service 232 continue to use Toa Payoh Lor 4 and Central? Or just turn right into Lor 6 and right again into Lor 2? (Is there any ban of right turn into Lor 6 from the interchange?)Originally posted by service_238:I suggested for shortworking trips on 238 due to the high demand during peak hours. It fell through... It has since upped its frequency and i'm quite satisfied by it =)
I suggested that when the temp TPY was in operation.
238A from Braddell Rd - TPY skipping Lor 6 bus stops (3 pairs) during morning peak.
238B from TPY - Braddell Rd skipping Lor 6 bus stops (3 pairs) during evening peak.
I find it cool but i think SBST dont find it practical enough.
I think rather good idea. Ever since sv 10 was amended to Kent Ridge it seems that there's one connection "lost".Originally posted by tranquilice:I have this suggestion, how high the chance do you think it will get implemented?
Service 10 to extend back to Clementi interchange, but using West Coast Rd, Clementi Ave 2 and C'wealth Ave West. Ever since service 30 was amended to ply ECP, passengers in Clementi West took a longer journey time to Suntec City and Nicoll Highway. Service 10 is now the alternative to these places, however have to transfer along Pasir Panjang Rd. Yes, although services 97 and 106 (plus 502) do go to Suntec City, but none of them ply Clementi West.
Yes. New shortworking 88B. I think 88A is still around.Originally posted by tranquilice:You mean a new service 88B? (Is service 88A still around?)
88A is definitely still around. Saw the plate on the bus stops last week.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Yes. New shortworking 88B. I think 88A is still around.
When the original TPY was around, there was a ban from turning right from the interchange exit at Lor 6. Svc 231W had to make a big round then to exit at Lor 2, before turning into Lor 1.Originally posted by tranquilice:Should service 232 continue to use Toa Payoh Lor 4 and Central? Because the access road to old TPY interchange could also be used by cars, right? I miss the old TPY interchange, it holds lots of memories. So much changes now.Originally posted by service_238:When the original TPY was around, there was a ban from turning right from the interchange exit at Lor 6. When the temp TPY exist, Svc 232 was able to turn left to Lor 6 then right to Lor 2 at TPY MRT. It seems like SBST has no intention of amending it as 232 provides connections from the 4 corners of TP Central to Lor 2, Lor 1, Lor 6 and Lor 7.
I am. One would definitely like to have as many bus services plying in their neighbourhood.Originally posted by Goondu86:@iamgoondu: Wah! Nick quite similar. Just asking, are you staying around the commonwealth/bouna vista area too?
Yes, service 145 was once a Toa Payoh - Kent Ridge service, via Telok Blangah Rd and Pasir Panjang Rd. I think it was amended to Buona Vista in late 1980s, perhap with the integration of another service?Originally posted by th1988:For 106, it is said that Tibs was forced to withdraw it after Orchard Road and end it at Suntec.
As for the extension, 145 was once a Kent Ridge, can someone vertify it as I once saw it on a SBS webiste before with NAC CRB "TPY 145 Kent Ridge"
Because SBST introduced service 188, so service 10 was cut short to Kent Ridge, but service 188 does not ply Clementi Central area, it only ply AYE and Clementi Ave 6, this made many passengers furious.Originally posted by off_service:I think rather good idea. Wonder why SBST make the amendments in the first place.
