i find new bus stops are poorly designed.. they have big centre columns blocking your view.. cannot see approaching buses.. have to stand, then can see..

It's nice to see all of you here, especially ah ma..
As for the bus stops, it's designed by someone or some authorities years back and was part of a exhibition. The design was well received then and the move was to standardize design of all bus stops, taxi stands etc. Hence, some taxi stands looks like bus stop.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. -

Yes and the second generation bus stop advertisements have a tendency to block out the view of the road so one can't see the bus when it approaches.

There're 2 kinds of new bus stops. One are those rebuilt in 1999/2000 and one are those rebuilt in 2002/2003.
The earlier batch bus stops consist of bus stops in TPY, AMK, YIS, WDL, TAM, BDK, BBT, BNL & CCK .
The latest batch are those by Adshel or something.. lol -

The new seats have both high and short type in most stops. I think the high type is actually not to sit on it, can lose balance and fall backwards. -

Yes, the old shelthers looked dirty when they are not repainted for a long time, now they can save the paint. -
wah power. .... bus stops seats also can become a topic. Anyway yesterday I was paya lebah... noticed that the bus stop opps the MRT still have got Orange seats !
