increase the frequency of bus 74!!

dun understand y they dun want to increase freq of 74, since each bus is almost packed with ppl during peak period.. some even have to wait for he next bus coz they cant get into it...
have to wait for at least 20mins before the next bus comes...plus the traffic along clementi road is always very jammed up.. in the end i have to reach my destination very much later even though the travelling distance only takes about at most 10 mins..
i dunno, i just find it abit lame..the time spent waiting for the bus could be longer than the actual time needed to travel.. excluding the very heavy traffic..
on friday, i board bus no 74 (non-aircon) after 15-20 mins of waiting..
as usual, i end up standing next to the driver.. some even hav to stand near the door.. the air was stale, as the bus barely move 10km every 3 mins.... everyone in the bus had a difficult time.. after half an hr or so then i manage to reach my destination...
anyone have similar experience? the very pek chek feeling.. can reach ard 45mins.. but in the end coz u have to factor in timing waiting for bus.. u need to be half an hr earlier.. which is 1 hr 15 mins to travel.. i think its abit ridiculous.. -
and bloody hell, they love to come three buses at one time~~

3 same timesheets? ! lolz... i think that seemed impossible.. but 3 timesheets of 3-5min difference of each other can make the difference. i simply dislike the inconsistent frequency of bus 74...
its true dat 74 likes to come in triple (headin towards buona vista)...even four or five at times...
n when i'm goin to sch...takin frm the bus stop opposite fairfield methodist sec sch....headin towads np...n i was waitin for my fren...the 1st 74 came like arund 5 mins...nxt one come nt long after...the 3rd one came 30 mins later...in the mornin...it din happen once...
if it came frm an interchange after a long distance its quite understandable dat the 2nd bus caught up...but the distance frm the interchange at buona vista (dunoe wat is it called) to fairfield methodist sec is nt long... -
Same goes for 76 at times. And 156, and 73 and 147....

74 buses do coem out of HG central or Bouna Vista ter on time. the freq of the bus is 2 mins during peak and is true.
however subject to traffic conditions along Bt timah road 9inconsiderate parents dropping kids of to sch anyhow) and kams....
svc 74 or 154 or 151 or whadeva svc cannot keep its freq.
as a result bunching will occur.
its all cars fault

There was once i tried to ignore the non-aircon bus and wave the aircon one instead. But the driver very dao and pretend not to notice me and drove off. In the end I missed the 2 74 buses at one goes. >_< -
Hahahaha crazy lah you. Sv. 74 frequency is very good already, its simply due to the adverse traffic conditions at Bt. Timah during peak hours. Service 74 is fully aircon during the vacation (referring to the May - June and Nov - Dec period). During the Nov - Dec 03 period, I hardly see a NAC bus on the service.
This is because SBST does not have sufficient a/c buses (esp Superbuses) for service 74. -
SBST 74 has very good frequency. At BV, one can see 1 or 2 Service 74 departs before Service 95 leave.
It could be just like TIBS 106, which I complaints of bad frequency. But other forumers think otherwise, and mentioned of adverse traffic conditions along Orchard Road.
So the above teaches us a very good lesson. When 2 or 3 or 4 or more of same services bumped into each other in a bus stop, shouldn't the one which has lagged, speed up, do not stop to pick up more passengers at each busstops (other when there are passengers alightings), till it had matched its schedule.
With such arrangement, passenger at downstream will not have to wait much longer. -

Don't get me wrong, I am just as frustrate when my bus does not turn up after 20 minutes.
However, my observation (last year) was that SBST74 indeed has pretty good frequency compare to many other services that ply along Commonwealth Ave West. Perhaps they had changed their schedule this semester.
Perhaps, they want you to travel by trains? And had cut down SBST 74 frequency.
At most only 2 TIBS 106 arrive at the same time at a bus stop, unlike SBST 74, it was not uncommon to have 3~4 to arrive at the same time. What does it show? SBST 74 has pretty high frequency. -
