!!!!!!!!!!!SBS 9818A, please do not assert that ALL people are insane cos there are at least 25% of the population who live in TIBS controlled area and would very much like to hear the albeit noisy radiator as compared to the irritating farts of the lances and the harsh engine noise, as well as bearing with the black smoky exhaust that it is known for !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me,
SBST : Dennis Trident and Voith-ed DM 0405s especially. Others also include Mk4 DM3500, other 0405s and VO-3Ax ( esp the 96XX series )
TIBS: Voith-ed 0405Gs, Scania ( both types )
Fave seats:
SBST
VO3-Ax: Last seat lower deck left ( esp at night ) , first seat upper left, Middle to last 4 seats either
VSO: Always the middle upper seat, side depends on sunlite and i will always choose the side with shade.....its the quietest at that position
Volvo Single Decks: Middle, right
For those mk4 striders with TV mobile, and if is under maintainance, then its the seat right after the rear exit. I avoid the last row at all costs.
MB0405s: The seat just b4 the rear axle, right
TIBS:
Habits and "Citaros": Front: Any seat xcept the one after the driver, the face-face seats and the last seat b4 the articulator ( i would rather stand than to seat in that row!!! )
Trailer: "Business Class" seats. ie the row after the articulator, left, and the one on the right with the "Emergency Exit" sticker
Volgren 0405G : Front same as above, Trailer the seat after the 3rd door, left.....it has the widest pitch
Box Bendy : same as the habits, xcept i like the 2nd seat b4 the 2nd door a lot
0405: same as the SBST one, and the middle exit row
WA Scania and DAFs: the second last row, or the exit row, either
Lances: The 2 rows b4 the rear exit,.,...the pitch is just.......superb!! -

On Superbuses, 2 rows before the last. If I want to sleep, I'll sit at the last row so that my head can rest on the air-con duct.
On the O405, B10M Mk-II & III; just after the first axle. Lots of legroom. Can slide down, rest my head and koon but be careful if your hp is in your trouser pocket. I lost mine that way. Beside the Emer. Exit on the Mk-III is nice to sleep also. -
The O305! It slipped my mind. How can I ever forget my most favourite bus? They don't make buses like the O305 anymore. I really miss them. The hubs on our O405s are audible. You just need to listen closely. There is a regular sv 242 bus, SBS 482, with really loud hubs. I ride it almost every night. Cool!

Yes, the O305 was a beauty. The most powerful double-deck of the time. I remember taking Sv. 132 O305s down the winding Tanglin Rd. The quietest double-decker ever to grace Singapore roads. Had the chance to rode on it quite a number of times, when it was on Service 31 for a brief period of time, just before it's withdrawal. anyone compare this bus to todays, East lancs bodyork Omnidekkas by Scanias?
maybe compare with that N94UD model perhaps.

Im sure that there are many more others out there who dun really like the bus but just dun noe wad the bus is. And oh yah, Lances are NOT exclusive to ply within Yishun ONLY. Personally, my favourite engines and seats are from Tibs buses
Favourite engine sounds: Tibs Mercedes O.405s
Favourite seats: All Tibs buses with green-coloured seats (But not those plastic ones though)
Favourite seat position: Though I know it could be a bit noisy because it is near to the engine part, but it's the 2nd last seat from the back -
The CRBs are very quiet only the NAC ones. And also only the NAC ones can speed as I took 155 once and it overtook a sv 13 0405 on the upslope.
Another one is DM3500, very quiet as well as the tridents. -
I haven't done Sets in school yet. Apparently a certain HOD is better than TGTS in English. And I said FOUR residents because you're the only Yishunite that's constantly complaining.
