Y scan 2 times for Feeder Bus

Y mus scan 2 times like normal buses ? v troublesome leh.....is the same amount anyway....jus tat it will deduct 20 cent (issit ah?) when u get down the bus ............should make it scan 1 time enough liao mah....

I also don't see the need of scanning the card on these services when alighting, because the fare deducted when scanning at entry is 63 cents already, unless.....
I think it's for a good habit, because some may forgot to scan when alighting from trunk services, if they have a habit of not scanning when alighting from feeder and intra-town services. -
It would be better to tap if you are unsure if you're going to make a transfer. gt once i take bus....bus v crowded i standing in front where the driver is beside me oni..then i go up bus i scan..then reach interchange i signalled the busdriver tat i am alighting frm front then i see him press someting then i go scan my card frm front door wana alight liao mah..who knows the bus driver shouting n shouting say canot scan in front when alighting ...then sibei pai seh..then actualy i wana get off liao late for work mah....then the bus driver still shouting saying "hou men scan! go back door scan... if not ko liang chi....(deduct 2 times)" then i was like... the whole bus also know he shouting at me liao then bus so damn crowded hw to move to the back door...wow lau...then ppl in front of me wana get down...i am blocking.(tink they aso dn bother to scan )...then i hack care..i say "never mind" then..jus get out of the bus lor......

I personally tried this before and if you are having a transfer* between buses, I recommend you to scan your cards before alighting.
I took service 184 and alighted at Bt Panjang (outside the CC) and change to service 963. Once I alighted from service 184 the service 963 bus came.
Since I alighted from the 184 bus without scanning, when I board the 963 bus I am actually considered ALIGHTING.
* For the transfer here, I do not know if the ez-link will work this way if the transfer is between SBS / TIBS buses. -

You havent heard my story yet. Haha.
I am currently using a student concession pass and there was once when I boarded a Svc 19 at the stop just outside Tampines Interchange. Normally when I alight from the bus, I do not tap my card since I am using a concession pass. So I did as usual and didnt tap my card when I alighted from Svc 19. 5 mins later, I decided that I had nothing to do at Tampines and made my way home. I waited for Svc 19 again and the same bus (which I took earlier) came. So I boarded and goodness, guess what was shown on the EzLink reader? The same message that is shown when I tap my card upon alighting from the bus. Haha. -

recently, when i alight from the bus and tapped my card, it show "new ride"...
then i emailed the sbs customer service.
the reply was tat it was b'cos i didn't tap when i boarded the bus.
then i went to check wif the transitlink office which redirected me to the top-up machine to check the records on the card... RESULT: I was charged twice for that trip....
then I had to go back to the transitlink office to get my refund...
LESSON: must remember to look at the reader when u alight
dun get cheated....

That happened during the early days of ezlink implementation (ard July 2002). It was full of glitches. The system must have been quite buggy.
