To add on, now there arn't any direct link form Eunos link, Hougang Ave 3 ( aft tampines road), certain part of Geylang to Hougang South. By the way there are links to AMK....bus service 136 which terminate at AMK interchange....Originally posted by foxtrot1985:Sadly the diversion of 132 to HG Central means that there will be no direct links from AMK and Serangoon North to Hougang South and I guess few would bother to take the trouble to change to either 82, 107, 112 or 113 along Hougang Ave 2 (after HG stadium).
136 goes a big round serangoon gardens and ang mo kio before reaching AMK central.Originally posted by pkcheah100:To add on, now there arn't any direct link form Eunos link, Hougang Ave 3 ( aft tampines road), certain part of Geylang to Hougang South. come to think of it... yes they do need one.. they need at least one transfer from hougang/sengkang to marine parade... Hence I suggest this new route.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Is there a need for marine parade residents to get a direct bus service to hougang or sengkang instead of transferring buses at bedok? What do you all think?

New Service 85
Sengkang Int, Sengkang East Way, Anchorvale Link, Sengkang East Ave, Sengkang East Rd, Buangkok Green, Hougang Ave 4, Hougang Central, Upp Serangoon Rd, Hougang St 21, Hougang Ave 1, (Lor Ah Soo) Hougang Ave 3, Eunos Link, Jln Eunos, Still Rd, Still Rd South, Marine Parade Rd (Loop)
Hmm..looks interesting,Why not 84 looping @ Upp East Coast Terminal from Punggol?
Then again SBST will say 'take 87 and transfer to 15/55'
Also can..Originally posted by carbikebus:Hmm..looks interesting,Why not 84 looping @ Upp East Coast Terminal from Punggol?
There was a suggestion in the press some time ago about a direct service between Sengkang and Marine Parade but was rejected by SBST.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Is there a need for marine parade residents to get a direct bus service to hougang or sengkang instead of transferring buses at bedok? Their crappy reply i supposed: "Take 87 then transfer to 55 along Hougang Ave 3"Originally posted by tranquilice:There was a suggestion in the press some time ago about a direct service between Sengkang and Marine Parade but was rejected by SBST.
55 doesn't even go anywhere near Parkway Parade.Originally posted by service_238:Their crappy reply i supposed: "Take 87 then transfer to 55 along Hougang Ave 3"
Nothing wrong with that what.Originally posted by th1988:No, their reply was this
Take 87 to Enous and take 15
Another reply would be:Originally posted by service_238:Their crappy reply i supposed: "Take 87 then transfer to 55 along Hougang Ave 3"
I believe it's a mistake. I have seen the route map and route details at Hougang Central interchange, services 101, 112 and 113 are listed as trunk services.Originally posted by off_service:Services 101, 112 and 113 are listed under "Feeder services" at the SBST site. Can anyone verify this?
Don't think so. The NEL station is "Hougang Central" so I guess the interchange will have the same name.Originally posted by tranquilice:Will Hougang Central interchange be re-named as Hougang interchange?
the nel station is simply hougang. no centralOriginally posted by off_service:Don't think so. The NEL station is "Hougang Central" so I guess the interchange will have the same name.
Yup, it should be a mistake. Even sbs eguide lists them as trunk aircon services, though there are non aircon buses for both 112 and 113.Originally posted by tranquilice:I believe it's a mistake. Partially a/c trunk services.Originally posted by tranquilice:I believe it's a mistake. I have seen the route map and route details at Hougang Central interchange, services 101, 112 and 113 are listed as trunk services.
I never trust them. Lots of errors.Originally posted by service_238:Never trust the e-guide for the first last bus timings and AC status.
