Well linked except to East as there is only 66, 506. But I find 361 rt running around, I mean caling 1 BS per road, can someone tell me why?
Go get a map of BB, look at the layout of the estate, and use your Town planning skills you picked up in Pure Geography and plot a good route.Originally posted by th1988:Going to Nth

Probably it will look like (former) 361, which is now known as 941.
Sounds ok but people would rather take the train. Its faster.Originally posted by leeJZ:How about a Pasir Ris to Bukit Panjang service via Tampines, the PIE, and Bukit Batok?
It's long winded, I'd rather take the train. Anyway with PTC ruling, the service has to go PSR -> highway -> Bukit Batok -> Bukit Panjang.Originally posted by leeJZ:How about a Pasir Ris to Bukit Panjang service via Tampines, the PIE, and Bukit Batok?
Yes, it can ply in the other direction too, except I dunno whether the bus can turn right into West Ave 3 from West Ave 8, and again into St 11 from West Ave 3.Originally posted by th1988:For 941, I will use G/W plates (I think SMRT will not do it). The rt is like a Green Plate only service.
Why introduce again, when it was withdrawn by Tibs in 1996?Originally posted by th1988:In fact I was looking for a new service to Woodland Centre. It will be called SS7. Is it possible?
SS7
Choa Chu Kang Ave 4, Drive, Teck Whye Ave, CCK Rd, Bt Panjang Rd, BKE, WDL Centre Road (Loop)
I don't know the real reason for the withdrawn. But now there are no links to WDL Ctr from Bt Panjang.Originally posted by tranquilice:Why introduce again, when it was withdrawn by Tibs in 1996?
It was withdrawn due to MRT extension to Woodlands. Just take services 187 or 963 to Marsiling MRT and transfer to service 856.Originally posted by th1988:I don't know the real reason for the withdrawn. But now there are no links to WDL Ctr from Bt Panjang.
Why didn't I think for that.Originally posted by tranquilice:It was withdrawn due to MRT extension to Woodlands. Just take services 187 or 963 to Marsiling MRT and transfer to service 856.
CCK to HBF proposed rt is too longOriginally posted by leeJZ:How about this new service -
Choa Chu Kang - HarbourFront via Bukit Panjang/PIE/CTE/City, will go into city instead of Sv 188/176 that only go just outside of the city...
Bukit Panjang - Tampines via Bukit Batok/PIE/Orchard/PIE, will have fast connection between Tampines and Orchard...

Sv 518 loops around Pasir Ris/Tampines and if TIBS sends a competitor SBS may have to downgrade it to normal trunkOriginally posted by th1988:CCK to HBF proposed rt is too long
BTP to TAM rt is the same and it may not be possible as 23 was shorten before. MRT is faster other wise you have 518.
no it is not possible. SS7 is introduced as the MRT line has not gone there yet. now that it has reached CCK it is better to take MRT now.Originally posted by th1988:Now, Choa Chu Kang
Very poor linkage to city other than 190. I mean look at how SMRT deploy bendies on 190, terrible. SBS did better as it was almost ADDs. (By the way, 190 was FAC in 1997/8 during the major PAC - FAC and FAC to PAC rationlisation)
Also what's the frequency of 985? Seeing brunching buses before.
In fact I was looking for a new service to Woodland Centre. It will be called SS7. Is it possible?

OK for now i will explain my rationale for service 3 to go punggol. i wanted to link punggol ppl to PSR. but since svc 3 is also ex TL357 then no choice had to wind ard PSR then get to town centre.Originally posted by th1988:Well, then I am going to Punggol
Don't want to say too much, poor linking network, but adequate as 4 services are needed and there are 3, 62, 82, 83, 136. 84 cannot be counted as it is peak hr sv (In my opinion)
But planning is good as there are no small road at all. But it may face withdrawn when LRT starts running end of this year.
But some services can be introduced
1) To Changi Village/ Beach
2) Ang Mo Kio/ Toa Payoh
3) Bukit Timah
4) Choa Chu Kang/ Bt Panjang
What about the return route? There is no slip road towards PIE from Tampines St 31 on the direction of Jurong.Originally posted by leeJZ:For the BTP - PSR route...

I'm thinking, can it go under the flyover and do a right turn to the use that entrance?Originally posted by Superbus:What about the return route? There is no slip road towards PIE from Tampines St 31 on the direction of Jurong.
Cheers and warm regards
Impossible. The "U-Turn" allowed at junction of Simei Road & Simei St 1 is only enough to accommodate a car, no bigger than that.Originally posted by leeJZ:I'm thinking, can it go under the flyover and do a right turn to the use that entrance?
