Yes.

No, cannot be merged. They have different routes in Senoko. Service 981 helps relieve some of the loads of service 856. -

Agreed. Commuter patterns rise and fall like the stock market and it is vv unpredictable. Not everyone goes to Marina Centre every weekend. They can also choose to stay at home if it is a rainy day. Therefore, you cannot just base your assumptions on such simple calculations alone. There are a mitigation of many other factors too. If it is so easy to calculate, then won't it be so easy for SBST to plan the schedules? -
Yes, but SBS goes by overall demand not be single trip.

Currently, the demand for service xx is very high on the peak hours.
Our survey on June shows that at Macpherson Road (Opp POSBank), the average demand during 1730-1830 is 95% with 3 overloaded trips. On the entire peak hr (1630-1900), the average demand is 80%.
On service xx, the average demand at the same time is 60% with no overloaded trips.

Just want to re-emphasise that neither of us are calculating by single trip too. In fact, none of us are using calculations at all. What we are trying to say is that there are many other factors that has to be taken into consideration instead of just throwing out some numbers or formulae and saying that SBST ought to follow that standard of calculation in order to take away certain types of buses.
Anyway, I am quite lost with the letter you posted. What is the exact point you are trying to bring across? -
They don't use by trip as 56 do not have very high demand all during peak. Only like before school, after school, 0730-0830, 1600-1700
That's why they break up the reply into 2. One, the time you complained and the overall demand in the time i.e AM Off Peak. -

I insist that no ASD are deployed on Wkdays Off Peak. Why would I want to complain abt Sat and Sun as I don't take it. I even gave them the rego nos like 3578, 3599, 3604, 3605, 3606, 3613, 3614, 3615, 3616, 3619, 3623, 3625 that are in the fleet.
As for 3720L, I'm ok abt it as it is a matter of luck during peak.

I may take the opp. But, bef the Open Hse last yr, it was still NAC even on Sat, Sun.
The matter is that of the e guide saying it is PAC. If it is PAC, there should be AC buses even during off peak daily, not just wkend. The problem has been for years already. So, anyway, the matter will be settled once SBS makes it NAC or put ASD during off peak. It is matter of promise, you say it is PAC, it should be PAC anytime of the day even if there is just 1 ASD. -

3. I think Service 28 was doing Tampines-Bedok before Tampines-Toa Payoh.
5. Have only seen Service 39 with standing pax during the morning peak when everyone has to get to school. When I took it, it was about 50% full when I got off (around 4pm).
