Next time try not to use our jargons in feedbacks. I believe the staffs at SMRT would be wondering what is "CAC". Also, TIB 826 is not a CAC Merc, TIB 726 Y is.Originally posted by rancour5:The latest reply from TIBS aka SMRT
Dear XXXXXX
I refer to your email. We have noted your feedback on the capacity provided on Service 963 and will be conducting a check into the matter. Do be assured that we would be taking the necessary action to ensure that passengers are able to board the bus.
Have a nice day.

Subject: RE: Complaint on Service 963
DEar XXX, the issue i want to raise here is that the buses are on shedule but because the bus capacity was insufficient and the bus was fully packed, thus i waited for the third bus before i could board the bus. Sorry for the Misunderstanding. Also I took a bus today TIb 826 A CACMerc 0405 bus at 810am at bukit batok east ave 4. By the time it reached Bukit Batok east ave3. The bus was already fully packed and no one could board after that. The situation persisted till we reached Clementi fire station bus stop. I can imagine the people who cannot board who will be cursing.
Have a Nice day.

===================================
Dear Mr XXXXXXX
Thank you for your support to SMRT Buses.
To ensure the smooth operations, the complete livery change for buses will be phased over a period of time.It will be carried out concurrently at various depots according to the schedule that is not affecting the bus operations.
As for the change of the registration plate of buses and
bus stop plate, we are reviewing it and where necessary, we would carry it out progressively.
We look forward to serving you better. Thank you and have a nice day.
Warmest Regards

Above is what I sent to SMRT buses regarding the Bus Stop Plates and Registration plates.
They said in that letter that SMRTB is currently REVIEWING the change of their buses rego. So, I think it is most likely that it will be changed.
Notice at the title, it is still written "Feedback on TIBS Services"
btw, can anyone clarify me on this line?"It will be carried out concurrently at various depots according to the schedule that is not affecting the bus operations."

Probable extension of 502 = turning 502 into trunk?Originally posted by iveco:Here is the reply I got concerning the integration of services 111 & 23, 153 & 274, and the re-routing of 123 (St Michael's-Bukit Purmei) and 36 (Changi Airport-Bukit Merah)
Dear Ms XXXX
Suggestion to reroute bus services
We refer to your above feedback on 21 May 04 and our earlier
acknowledgement.
Our planners have carefully studied your suggestions to reroute our
bus
services and have reverted with their findings as follows :
Service 111 was cutback to operate between Ghim Moh Terminal and
Marina
Centre to avoid duplication of resources since the Serangoon Road
corridor is served by the NEL. At the same time, the change provided
commuters from Commonwealth Avenue, Alexandra Road and Tanglin Road
with
a direct connection to Marina Centre. We thus have no immediate
plans to
integrate it with Service 23 as this would result in duplication as
well
as the loss of links with Marina Centre.
For the suggested integration of Services 153 and 274, part of the
proposed route along Alexandra Road and Queensway is presently
served by
Service 195 which also provides residents of Depot Road with a
connection to Commonwealth and Queenstown Stations. As such, the
benefits of such a merger is limited.
Service 123 provides circumferential links to the Orchard Road
corridor,
Bukit Purmei, Tiong Bahru, River Valley at one end and Bukit Merah
Central and Queensway from the other end. Service 36 on the other
hand
operates between Changi Airport to loop at Tomlinson Road. As such,
there is no scope for the integration of Services 36 and 123.
As for Service 502, we are presently reviewing its routeings with
the
plan to extend its coverage.
Thank you for your feedback and we seek your understanding on this
matter.
Yours sincerely

For service 186, more NAC buses than AC buses. PAC status on all days.Originally posted by sbst275:I actually got a suprising reply regarding weird deployment of 37, 90 and 186 bet Wkdays and Sundays.
It says that the 3 services are non aircon on weekdays but fully aircon ob sundays due to aircon buses available.
Can this be confirmed as I rarely take these services for more than 6 mths now at least.
That means that they just dun have enough aircon buses for them (They are spare buses)???? Btw, it seems that ind svs are the ones that are non airconOriginally posted by sbst275:I actually got a suprising reply regarding weird deployment of 37, 90 and 186 bet Wkdays and Sundays.

186 has only a few pathetic AC buses like 940M and some merzOriginally posted by tranquilice:For service 186, more NAC buses than AC buses. PAC status on all days.

SERVICES 401, 35 AND 24A
We refer to your suggestion on the above services and your kind reminder. Please accept our sincere apologies for the much delayed response following our earlier acknowledgement.
2 Our planners have carefully studied your request and have reverted with their comments.
3 Please allow us to explain, when Service 401 was extended to Tomlinson Road (The Regent Singapore), its operation hour was also extended. However, despite the extension of the route and operation hours, the demand had been low and the service had not been able to cover its operating costs. Due to the weak demand for this service, we regret that it is not justifiable to further extend the operating hours.
4 The proposed extension of Service 35 to Cargo Complex would result in increased in distance for the service. Additional resources would be required to cover the increased in distance. Moreover, the proposed routing also tantamount to introducing a new service operating between Bedok Interchange and Cargo Complex via Changi Coast Road. However, based on the demand from Bedok alone, it would not be sufficient to justify the operation of this service. As for Service 35A, separate resources would be required if the service were to terminate at Tanah Merah Terminal. Hence, the proposed extension is not supported.
5 On your suggestion to extend Service 24A to terminate along Upper Changi Road East (opposite Expo Hall 6), we regret that we are unable to accede to your request as there is no suitable turnaround point for the buses to facilitate to return to Ang Mo Kio.
6 We thank you for giving us a chance to explain our position to you and hope to have gotten your understanding to the above matters.

I suggested to SBST that service 35 plies express along Changi Coast Rd.Originally posted by sbst275:For 401, my qn is there are passengers. To them, all rts are not profitable from what I see
As for 35, it is inpractical as there are no places in between
For 24A, there is. Isn't there there is a PIE exit to Jurong?![]()
It is not advisable. 35 and 35A will confuse passengers (As what happened to me when I went to HK). What's the synergy for asking it to get to CACC?Originally posted by tranquilice:I suggested to SBST that service 35 plies express along Changi Coast Rd.
much faster than svc 9.Originally posted by sbst275:It is not advisable. 35 and 35A will confuse passengers (As what happened to me when I went to HK). What's the synergy for asking it to get to CACC?
If that's the case, I'm open on my bus company. But to be frank, it will be a peak hr serviceOriginally posted by leeJZ:much faster than svc 9.
