svc 9 can be really slow, I can imagine travel times from Bedok - CACC to be almost an hour during the peak hrs, during the off peak hrs I can only get to Bedok from the last bus stop on Loyang Ave (bef TPE) in 30+ min.Originally posted by sbst275:If that's the case, I'm open on my bus company. But to be frank, it will be a peak hr service
But it's really no point, alight at Pasir Ris you have 89 or Tampines 19.
But u have alternative like 19 or 89 at Tampines and Pasir Ris resp right? But I have an intension of Sv 390 (CACC - Tanah Merah MRT (Loop)) Peak Hr Sv. But this depends whether is it possible as I'm considering having 89A. I notice that passengers of Sv 9 at Bedok are to Simei/ Tampines/ Pasir RisOriginally posted by leeJZ:svc 9 can be really slow, I can imagine travel times from Bedok - CACC to be almost an hour during the peak hrs, during the off peak hrs I can only get to Bedok from the last bus stop on Loyang Ave (bef TPE) in 30+ min.
svc 9 can be quite slow because it has very good demand in Bedok and Tampines plus excellent demand in Simei.
Won't be confused as bus stop plates will be put up to inform them (if implemented).Originally posted by sbst275:It is not advisable. 35 and 35A will confuse passengers (As what happened to me when I went to HK). What's the synergy for asking it to get to CACC?
There are people who do.Originally posted by sbst275:But u have alternative like 19 or 89 at Tampines and Pasir Ris resp right? Can, but dun forget there will still be passengers that are bo chapOriginally posted by tranquilice:Won't be confused as bus stop plates will be put up to inform them (if implemented).
Sv 19 is like any services that goes to industries, so passengers standing on the door is nothing unusual. But if SBS put double deck at the same frequency, won't the loading prob be solved?Originally posted by leeJZ:There are people who do.
If extend svc 35, you can also relieve the jammed packed svc 19 during peak hrs, when every trip during the peak has people standing to the door.
Make something like 35E or 35X or something.Originally posted by sbst275:Sv 19 is like any services that goes to industries, so passengers standing on the door is nothing unusual. But if SBS put double deck at the same frequency, won't the loading prob be solved?
Well, if you're want such a rapid service, you're should be to SBS stating for a new service to CACC via Changi Coast Rd. By making a 35A, they will not agree to it as it clashes with the short working trip prefixes
Sv 9 journey is long like 60 mins, taking 89 from Pasir Ris takes 30 mins also. 19 from Tampines takes 40 mins
Well, 35E or 35X must be when they have express or alternative rts resp. E must be having same terminal endings. X maybe, but this alternative rt is like a bit longer leh.Originally posted by leeJZ:Make something like 35E or 35X or something.
SBST probably does not want to put double decks on svc 19 because off peak loads do not justify for them.
It's a disapointment, I'm not sure if SBST is blind to the strong demand for SBS 195 between Queenstown MRT and IKea? Perhaps someone can suggest this proposal to TIBS.Originally posted by iveco:This is SBST's reply concerning the deviation of 196 to ply C'wealth Ave (QUE MRT) & Alexandra Rd (Ikea):
Dear Ms xxxx,
We refer to your feedback dated 21 August 04.
2 Our planners had reviewed on your suggestion and have since
reverted on their findings.
3 The suggested diversion will mean affecting existing passengers
along the sector of Queensway between Alexandra Rd and Commonwealth Ave.
Another group of passengers would have to incur additional journey
time
and fares. Hence the suggestion is not supported.
4 Thank you.

It is their problem that they bo chap. For service amendment and rationalisation, posters are put up at the bus stops but only some bother to take a look at them. Then when the actual day comes, you can see majority of the passengers' blur look when the bus goes via the new route.Originally posted by sbst275:Can, but dun forget there will still be passengers that are bo chap
You should have asked to amend service 198 and not 196.Originally posted by iveco:This is SBST's reply concerning the deviation of 196 to ply C'wealth Ave (QUE MRT) & Alexandra Rd (Ikea):

35: Bedok - CACC (loop), skipping TMFTOriginally posted by leeJZ:Make something like 35E or 35X or something.
Cannot, 35A is a short working trip along its rt (Defination)... 98A is rather a short working trip because it goes back half way along its journey. How abt making 157 and 157A, 157 goes Boon Lay its own rt and 157A goes Jurong East? It is going to be messy and it's not going to work like in Hong KongOriginally posted by tranquilice:35: Bedok - CACC (loop), skipping TMFT
35A: Bedok - TMFT (loop)
It's like the case of services 98 and 98A. While service 98 loops at Jurong Pier Rd, service 98A loops at Jln Ahmad Ibrahim, where service 98 doesn't ply.
To me, it's possible but to SBST, most probably not.Originally posted by ^tamago^:how about a peak-hour one-directional service between Tanah Merah Stn and CACC via Changi Coast Rd seperate from svc 35?
Then can number it 35B or 35C and so on, since 35A can be confused as a SWT.Originally posted by sbst275:Cannot, 35A is a short working trip along its rt (Defination)... 98A is rather a short working trip because it goes back half way along its journey. One go one place another one go another. You would rather make it black and white with another Sv and dun confuse passengers?
That one, C can. Dun forget you still got 105B. D the best, off from any SWTOriginally posted by tranquilice:Then can number it 35B or 35C and so on, since 35A can be confused as a SWT.
Referring to your "One go one place another one go another.", might as well ask SBST to renumber service 103W since service 103 goes one place (east camp) while service 103W goes another place (west camp).
In my opinion, it's better for you to ask the company itself for a more accurate answer.Originally posted by listar:hi all guys

I'm not sure about SBS, but SMRT can make 855 serve Ikea if SBS refuse to amend 196 or 198. Queensway between Bt Merah & C'wealth Ave has too much duplication.Originally posted by listar:hi all guys

123's aim is to link both Bukit Purmei and Queensway to Orchard.Originally posted by iveco:I'm not sure about SBS, but SMRT can make 855 serve Ikea if SBS refuse to amend 196 or 198. Queensway between Bt Merah & C'wealth Ave has too much duplication.
More buses to Golden Mile other than 100. 123 is a good choice. 36 can cover Bt Merah-Orchard sector.
18+7 to free up parking space @ BDK.
Place better buses in the West. CLE has lotsa lousy buses (Mk II/III, LO3X, MB O405 WA/DM).
Make VSO serve on 166, reinstate Trident on 147 & 165, trash the Mk IIs & bring the CRBs to take their place.
(The list is endless)
