oh i dunno abt LRT, but frm wat i can remember, the highest fare for transfering betw buses is 1.90.Originally posted by the Bear:can't be... there's a few trips printed on the board, which includes the LRT that costs more than $2
oic..where can we find more info abt their transfer policies?Originally posted by SBS9818A:$1.90 fare cap is only for 3 transfers made on SBST buses. If you take a TIBS bus or MRT, the cap offer will cease to be valid.
does that mean if i take a bus, then a train, then two more buses, even the BUS fares won't be capped at $1.90 in the case that I take them over a long distance?Originally posted by SBS9818A:$1.90 fare cap is only for 3 transfers made on SBST buses. Yes, as long as you break the chain of 3 SBST buses the bus fares will not be capped. That scenario you gave, the bus fares WILL NOT be capped.Originally posted by MooKu:does that mean if i take a bus, then a train, then two more buses, even the BUS fares won't be capped at $1.90 in the case that I take them over a long distance?
or do you mean, in the scenario that i gave, i'll be charged the max of $1.90 [assuming i take from east to west and back again.. long distance] PLUS the MRT fare?
hoo boy.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Yes, as long as you break the chain of 3 SBST buses the bus fares will not be capped. That scenario you gave, the bus fares WILL NOT be capped.
First three only. But its a hassle to redeem fare cap, one must go to the Transitlink offices.Originally posted by MooKu:chain of 3 buses hmmm but what if i take FOUR buses? will it be capped still?
redeem fare cap?Originally posted by SBS9818A:First three only. But its a hassle to redeem fare cap, one must go to the Transitlink offices.
Essentially, we would seldom take bus transfer trip more than $1.90... You can treat this policy redundent...Originally posted by SBS9818A:$1.90 fare cap is only for 3 transfers made on SBST buses. If you take a TIBS bus or MRT, the cap offer will cease to be valid.
Yes. The systems are not smart enough.Originally posted by MooKu:redeem fare cap?
you mean it won't be capped at $1.90 automatically, but instead we have to go to the office to redeem it?
actually not exactly.. SBST has in place to fully implement the fare cap by April this year.. they did not implement it fully now cos of the differences in the conditions of transfer rebates are not finalised (fare and time from boarding VS time from alighting TO next transfer ride boarding)..Originally posted by SBS9818A:Yes.
