The red material is pretty well fixed/camouflaged. You can see it when the bus is pretty close to you... like at the bus stop.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:Hmm.....i saw it yesterday, but the desto font is narrower than it should be, but i did not see any red material covering the sides.
Will post a pic here later if possible
It looked to me as if it is painted over.Originally posted by Yusry:The red material is pretty well fixed/camouflaged. You can see it when the bus is pretty close to you... like at the bus stop.
Ya, the one with the Cold Storage ad is SBS9025X not SBS9020J. I was mistaken. Sorry if I had caused any confusion. SBS9020J is the one with the different-looking 30 desto that the others have pointed out here.Originally posted by Superbus:It looked to me as if it is painted over.
By the way, someone posted that the LO with the Cold Storage ad has been repainted to the new colours. That LO is still with Cold Storage ad.
Cheers and warm regards
As Yusry has said, the front desto indeed has red material at both sides. You have to take a closer look.Originally posted by TIB1186Z:A picture of this joker 9020 on 30.
Not only that, I suspect the desto is the old one, because the number 30 is WAY off centre.Originally posted by tranquilice:As Yusry has said, the front desto indeed has red material at both sides. You have to take a closer look.
Service 172 alreadly had this demand (especially during peak hours) that they deployed Bendies on 172Originally posted by leeJZ:Very surprised that Sv 172 has sizeable demand...one bus was about 80% full when it left Boon Lay and within minutes there was about 10 people waiting for the bus...where do the pax mainly alight, because Sv 172 only calls at 2-3 bus stops in Boon Lay before hitting the Choa Chu Kang cemetery area
You probably saw 2888T but DAF, are you sure, which DAF, Hispano(CSS) or Alexander Sentena DAFs(TIBS) or did you see 0081S, the MAN bus?Originally posted by leeJZ:MB O405G bendy on Sv 969 today
Scania OAL SBS 80U on Sv 23 (permanent on Sv 3)
There was this kind of weird bus in new SBS colors parked next to 80U at Tampines Interchange at about 4:30pm today, its back looked liked the one that SBS 999U has, plus it looks kinda like a DAF...what bus is it?
Ah yes, it was 81S...Originally posted by Scania:You probably saw 2888T but DAF, are you sure, which DAF, Hispano(CSS) or Alexander Sentena DAFs(TIBS) or did you see 0081S, the MAN bus?

Svc 172 is the only direct svc to CCK from Boon Lay.Originally posted by leeJZ:Woah..bendies?
Or do the people who take Sv 172 mainly want a quick ride to Choa Chu Kang? Going via the cemetary area is faster than going via the usual residential estates like Jurong, Bukit Batok etc
If demand on Sv 172 is so high, why doesn't SBS make Sv 405 a year round route? Or maybe extend it to CCK to compete with Sv 172?
Service 405's main reason for existence is for those people going to the cemetery at Lim Chu Kang, and not particularly for the usual pax of Service 172. Based on my 'survey', many people actually preferred Service 405 to be a weekend service rather than operating only on certain days. And I do agree on that. Can save me on taxi fare.Originally posted by leeJZ:If demand on Sv 172 is so high, why doesn't SBS make Sv 405 a year round route? Or maybe extend it to CCK to compete with Sv 172?
Was it on 37? I was on board at around 1500 hours and saw a 37 Service guide on the bus.Originally posted by Superbus:- SBS3626B on Service 10
BNDEP spare. But usually on Sv 37 during morning peak.Originally posted by AdAptAliS:Was it on 37? I was on board at around 1500 hours and saw a 37 Service guide on the bus.
Off topic, but did the PTC regs force SBS to route Sv 39 through Pasir RIs instead of hitting the expressways directly like Sv 969? Or did SBS do it on their own will?Originally posted by TIB1186Z:Svc 172 is the only direct svc to CCK from Boon Lay.
Svc 172 also serves a part feeder service in CCK. Moreover, many take svc 172 from the Tengah airfield to CCK and Boon Lay, hence the load is very high.
Extending svc 405 would be dupliating svc 172 most of the time. Do keep in mind the PTC regs.
I dunno, but I guess SBST want a link between Yishun and Pasir Ris more than to Tampines, as rival service 969 provides a faster link between Yishun and Tampines.Originally posted by leeJZ:Off topic, but did the PTC regs force SBS to route Sv 39 through Pasir RIs instead of hitting the expressways directly like Sv 969? 101T is a Sv. 182 bus.Originally posted by service_238:18th March 2004:
SBS 0101 T on 157 (SLBP Bus. not sure of original service)
SBS 0173 K on 238 (SP bram)
SBS 0570 Y on 139 (56 bram)
SBS 1773 Y on 66 (335 SLBP)
SBS 9147 C on 157 (SLBP Bus, not sure of original service)
SBS 9637 E on 157 (88 AMDEP)
If they meant that, wouldnt it be better to route it Pasir Ris - Yishun? So they can provide a fast enough link to Pasir Ris from Yishun and compete with Sv 969 at the same time?Originally posted by tranquilice:I dunno, but I guess SBST want a link between Yishun and Pasir Ris more than to Tampines, as rival service 969 provides a faster link between Yishun and Tampines.
