Scania OAL SBS 80U on Sv 23 (permanent on Sv 3)
There was this kind of weird bus in new SBS colors parked next to 80U at Tampines Interchange at about 4:30pm today, its back looked liked the one that SBS 999U has, plus it looks kinda like a DAF...what bus is it? -

By the way, someone posted that the LO with the Cold Storage ad has been repainted to the new colours. That LO is still with Cold Storage ad.

Ya, the one with the Cold Storage ad is SBS9025X not SBS9020J. I was mistaken. Sorry if I had caused any confusion. SBS9020J is the one with the different-looking 30 desto that the others have pointed out here.Originally posted by Superbus:It looked to me as if it is painted over.

Quite a few buses returning to BNDEP today at about 6:15pm...SBS 9454R of Sv 81 and several other VOs
Very surprised that Sv 172 has sizeable demand...one bus was about 80% full when it left Boon Lay and within minutes there was about 10 people waiting for the bus...where do the pax mainly alight, because Sv 172 only calls at 2-3 bus stops in Boon Lay before hitting the Choa Chu Kang cemetery area -

If demand on Sv 172 is so high, why doesn't SBS make Sv 405 a year round route? Or maybe extend it to CCK to compete with Sv 172? -

Svc 172 also serves a part feeder service in CCK. Moreover, many take svc 172 from the Tengah airfield to CCK and Boon Lay, hence the load is very high.
Extending svc 405 would be dupliating svc 172 most of the time. Do keep in mind the PTC regs. -

Service 405's main reason for existence is for those people going to the cemetery at Lim Chu Kang, and not particularly for the usual pax of Service 172. Based on my 'survey', many people actually preferred Service 405 to be a weekend service rather than operating only on certain days. And I do agree on that.
