There are a few cash trolley locomotives with serials 330X, which are usually fixed to 3 other cars from any other first generation KNS trains to form the 4-car train.. usually comes out in the afternoon.. duty codes usually are 9XX (i saw 966)..Originally posted by Scania:Trains: SMRT trains:

duty codes for EWL are usually in the 00X-04X range, NSL is usually 05X-08X, CAL is 14X range, NEL is 3XX range.. special duties (incl. peak-hour trains going back to depot after duty but not during) use 9XX..
NEL cars use the serials 710XX, 720XX, 730XX.. the arrangement of the cars in NEL is such that for some AA, 710AA is the first car, 720AA is the second and 730AA the last car of a 3-car set whereas SMRT use (from first to third) 3XXX, 1XXX then 2XXX..
another info is that the black trains use ZF gearboxes.. from the infamous incident when the new trains were retracted for a period from service due to faulty gearbox from the manufacturer.. -

What's the carriage numbers of the 'money train' aka 4 carriage 999 train.

SBS9188J on 88 has new dark blue shiny flooring, new pink seats like VO3x and new dark grey leather ceiling which holds the aircon ducts. Initially I thought I was on a VO3x but the engine sound reminded me that I was on a LO3x. -
Spotted a Mk4 DM3500 on 186 at Whitley Road. there are 25 (150 cars) Alstom trains operated by SBST..
the money (cash trolley) trains are actually only the orange car.. i believe there are 3-4 (for each depot + spare?) of them.. but they can't run on its own so they usually get a spare 3-car trainset (which must be KNS and is jus the same as any other KNS 1G cars SMRT have) to couple with it behind to form a 4-car train.. the 3 cars are just there, empty..
and yes, the duty codes are those found on top of the drivers.. -
