There is already svc 39 plying between Yishun, Pasir Ris and Tampines on SLE and TPE...Originally posted by SBS9845X:I would like to have more expressway services such as 858 and 969, so that we can reach our destination directly, just like taking a taxi........only that we stop at interchanges.......maybe we can have 979........plying from Yishun to Pasir Ris, via SLE, TPE and PIE.
er haha one of my usual typos again. yes it is PSR dr 3Originally posted by delonchew:You mean Pasir Ris Drive 3? There is no link between Loyang Avenue and Pasir Ris Drive 4 and also Pasir Ris Drive 4 and Pasir Ris Central.

Sounds like SBST86 extended to Pasir Ris, skipping Sengkang.Originally posted by freakybuses:must well Pasir Ris Int to AMK int via PSR Dr3/1 - TPE - Jln Kayu - YCK Rd - AMK Ave 6 - AMK Ave 8.![]()

From Clementi?? And this is from the east...not the west...Originally posted by SBS9818A:Take Sv. 10 from C'menti and then transfer to the HBF shuttle.
Too long to be a loop svc... make it terminate at Boon Lay/Jurong EastOriginally posted by leeJZ:I think Tampines needs a good connection to Bukit Timah/Dunearn...Sv 67 is too slow

It is? Didn't Sv 858 once loop at Changi Airport?Originally posted by freakybuses:Too long to be a loop svc... make it terminate at Boon Lay/Jurong East

858 does stop for a few mins so that the driver takes a toilet breakOriginally posted by leeJZ:It is? Didn't Sv 858 once loop at Changi Airport?
How about Sv 51 & 61 drivers? I dont think my proposed route is longer than 2 hrs it take for drivers of the above two services to complete their routes?Originally posted by freakybuses:858 does stop for a few mins so that the driver takes a toilet break
Service 61 service captains will have rest of at least 30 mins ( equivalent of 3 2 bus timing ) at either terminals.Originally posted by leeJZ:How about Sv 51 & 61 drivers? I dont think my proposed route is longer than 2 hrs it take for drivers of the above two services to complete their routes?
Alighting at Tanjong Pagar MRT and transfer will be faster.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Take Sv. 10 from C'menti and then transfer to the HBF shuttle.
Then those TAM - BTM drivers need a break of 20 minsOriginally posted by off_service:Service 61 service captains will have rest of at least 30 mins ( equivalent of 3 2 bus timing ) at either terminals.
That route is far too long.... one direction takes abt 2hrs 15mins... fare stage approx 55....Originally posted by leeJZ:Then those TAM - BTM drivers need a break of 20 mins
New amendment, in order to provide a fast link between Tampines/Pasir Ris & Bukit Batok/Jurong East, how about extending Sv 81 via the following...it can also have a fast link between TPY and PSR/TAM/JRE/BBT -
Upper Serangoon Rd
Bendemeer Rd/Whampoa North/Serangoon Rd (Express)
Jalan Toa Payoh
Toa Payoh Lor 6
Jalan Toa Payoh
PIE (Express)
Upp Bukit Timah Rd
Old Jurong Rd
Bukit Batok East Aves 6 & 3
Bukit Batok Central & Ave 1
Jurong East Central & St 13
It needs to get out into Toa Payoh Lor 6 because on the return you cannot exit from the main PIE into Upper Serangoon Rd, only through Kim Keat Link which can only be accessed from Toa Payoh Lor 6
2 hrs 15 mins? Sv 51 & 61 takes about that...and their routes are very winding...Originally posted by freakybuses:That route is far too long.... one direction takes abt 2hrs 15mins... fare stage approx 55....
i think the best thing to do is extend the 985 back to the airport. meawhile regarding your service...maybe the winding route thru bt batok is long. ask the bus go along bt batok rd all the way and head for the exprssways.?Originally posted by TIB1186Z:Came out with a serious replacement for svc 989. This route does not duplicate any existing route, and even if it does, this provides a more direct and faster alternative. A feature is that it can be operated by both SBST and TIBS, (i suggest SBST myself to punish TIBS for withdrawing it and letting them see what they lost), as they exit their territories pretty fast and directlt. It also helps to make use of the rather empty Jurong east bus interchange. CCK residents are served by the stops along CCK Rd.

This route is around the same length as the one that was sadly withdrawn, or even shorter. It links the west effectively to the east, as they can transfer outside siemens centre to svc 23, or at Changi Airport.
What do u think?
