New route, Pasir Ris - Siglap Rd (Loop)
Pasir Ris Interchange - Pasir Ris Dr 3 - New Loyang Link - Old Tampines Rd - Upp Changi Rd North - Upp Changi Rd East - Simei Rd - Simei St 4 - Simei St 3 - Simei Ave - Upp Changi Rd - Bedok North Ave 4 - Bedok North Rd - Bedok North Ave 1 - New Upp Changi Rd - Bedok South Ave 1 - Marine Parade Rd - Siglap Rd - Siglap Link - Marine Parade Rd - Bedok South Ave 1 - New Upp Changi Rd - Bedok North Ave 1 - Bedok North Rd - Bedok North Ave 4 - Upp Changi Rd - Simei Ave - Simei St 3 - Simei St 4 - Simei Rd - Upp Changi Rd East - Upp Changi Rd North - Old Tampines Rd - New Loyang Link - Pasir Ris Dr 3 - Pasir Ris Interchange
Relieves Sv 17 on Bedok North Ave 1 & Bedok North Rd, that bus can get very full even during off peak because its the only bus on sectors of the above roads...95% capacity on a CAC Scania on a Saturday afternoon...
Relieves Sv 2 from Upp Changi Rd North/East - Nearest MRT Stn, that bus can get very full during evening peak because of the construction workers working on the roads and residents of the Changi area going to the city via MRT...
Relieves Sv 38 & 9 in parts of Simei..
Purpose of this route is an intra-town service, so dont need to extend to Amber, and doesnt Sv 15 loop there already?Originally posted by Yusry:How about making the bus loop at Amber circus?
True...... but there is no right turn at Siglap Link...... so ur bus will be stuck there.Originally posted by leeJZ:Purpose of this route is an intra-town service, so dont need to extend to Amber, and doesnt Sv 15 loop there already?

CBSBus Updates (EMERGENCY)
CBSBus will be introducing 2 more new routes on 1st April 2004 in addition to CBS22 and CBS23.
CBS24: Route is basically SBST21 with my special coverage of Pasir Ris and the shortening of the route at Balestier.
CBS29: SBST6 with earlier first bus on weekdays and later Last bus on Saturdays.
For more info, visit the following places:
http://www.geocities.com/malsohmt/CBS001-099/CBS24.htm and
http://www.geocities.com/malsohmt/CBS001-099/CBS29.htm
With these 2 services introduced, services originating from Pasir Ris which are based or majority based in BNDEP have come to a full circle. Next up: Tampines.
Bus Models used:
CBS24-
1. Volvo Mk4 DM 3500
2. Volvo Olympian WA 3-Axle
3. Volvo Mk4 DM
4. Mercedes Benz O405 DM
(The Merz DM and Mk4DM will temporarily be based in Ayer Rajah Bus Park until Ang Mo Kio Depot is ready for completion in mid-April)
CBS29-
1. Scania N113 CRB (CAC)
2 more Trunk routes will be introduced in Pasir Ris in the near future but its depot control will not be based in BNDEP. These will be incorporated in my Town Bus Plan for that town.
Just to let you know... these 2 routes will tentatively be:
1. SBST88 alike a route.
2. A new route to Bukit Panjang & Choa Chu Kang.
CBSBus Emergency Press Release: 31st March 2004.
Exactly. They have closed the break in the divider between Siglap Link and Marine Parade Road, which is why 36 was diverted to ply Siglap Road instead of the former Siglap Link.Originally posted by Yusry:True...... but there is no right turn at Siglap Link...... so ur bus will be stuck there.

OK...my service will be ammended to U-turn at Siglap Rd like the rest of the services there...
New service, St Michael's - Changi Airport...
St Michael's Terminal - Whampoa Rd - Jln Bahagia - Kim Keat Rd - Balestier Rd - Thomson Rd - Jln Toa Payoh - Jln Kolam Ayer - PIE - Eunos Link - Bedok Reservoir Rd - Bedok North Rd - Bedok North Ave 1 - New Upp Changi Rd - Upp Changi Rd East - Simei Ave - Tampines Ave 5 - Tampines Ave 6 - Tampines Ave 9 - Tampines Ave 7 - TPE - PIE - Airport Boulevard - Changi Airport PTB 2Links Whampoa/St Michael's & Bedok/Tampines
Links Jln Kolam Ayer & Bedok
Links Changi Airport & Tampines/Bedok
Acts as Intra-Town for Tampines & Bedok residents
Supplements Sv 72 in Tampines Ave 6/5
Links Whampoa/St Michael's & Jln Kolam Ayer
All in all, fast link between the relatively isolated Whampoa/St Michael's area to the East
As mostly older people living there, so less of a hassle if no transfer needed. Sv 21 is too slow.
Complete details below (if link doesnt work, copy and paste into address bar)

Then it would have to rely totally on Toa Payoh - Changi Airport traffic, not very profitable eh?Originally posted by xin1jun2:hmm close to 989 but not close. can express along PIE? =)

I like that route, especially the stretch from AYE to Sim Lim Square. However just wondering why would you make a detour from Commonwealth Ave West to Clementi ROad, Ulu Pandan Road and Holland Road?Originally posted by leeJZ:St Michael's lacks a direct link the far west, its current link only spans as far as Queenstown/Bukit Merah, so a new service linking St Michael's to Jurong East/Holland Rd/Clementi...

120 used to start from STM too. Where was its end point. If I'm not wrong, it plied Beach Rd. Suggestion for TL 123 partlilly based on that premise.Originally posted by ipodee:There used to be 122 from St Michael's to Bt Batok then cut back to Buona Vista before being withdrawn in 93. If you do a detour you can provide more links to other places like Holland Village or Holland Estate (HDB flats there, mostly older ones)Originally posted by iamgoondu:I like that route, especially the stretch from AYE to Sim Lim Square. Wouldn't it better if your route were ...Commonwealth Ave West, Dover MRT, North Buona Vista ROad (Buona Vista MRT), AYE......
However, the aim of my service to provide a direct link to places further than Queenstown MRT, if you terminate at Buona Vista or Ghim Moh, the benefits to Whampoa residents would not be too much.Originally posted by ipodee:There used to be 122 from St Michael's to Bt Batok then cut back to Buona Vista before being withdrawn in 93. 120 originally looped at shenton way then cut to beach road before being terminatedOriginally posted by Yusry:The one that plied Beach Road was 120.
122 went via Bencoolen, North Bridge Road, River Valley, Alexandra.
i used to be a whampoa resident. most people would take 186 to queenstown mrt then change to mrt if they wanted to go west... it's only 40-45min journeyOriginally posted by leeJZ:However, the aim of my service to provide a direct link to places further than Queenstown MRT, if you terminate at Buona Vista or Ghim Moh, the benefits to Whampoa residents would not be too much.
