pls note that ZYX39 goes from tampines - sembawng.(loop)
the route diff from SBS is as follows. after going past yishun MRT the bus goes straight along yishun ave 2, pass by sembawng shopping centre, turn left to the MRT station bus stop for 981 . turns right and follows 962 route and loops near senoko area.
the trip form PSR to yishun is fast only 16 mins as compared to SBS as the drivers are asked to speed along the 2nd lane at 80k once along the TPE.

We can't do that, that would not be a townlink anymore, this bus is supposed to link Bukit Panjang, 50%of CCK & 50% of Bt Batok.It is called TOWNLINK as it links Towns. 177 does not go in to CCK. Your "Townlink" 979 is more like inter-town service, as it serves Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Batok. These 3 towns are on its own.

i've done a preliminary bus schedule for the first few hours of operation.. For me, I'd love to see service 97 use the following route instead of AYE between Clementi and North Buona Vista Roads
Jurong East - Marina Centre
...AYE - (Clementi Road) - Kent Ridge Crescent - Lower Kent Ridge Road - (North Buona Vista Road) - AYE...
And vice versa in the direction towards Jurong East. -

Nope, personally I feel there will be no problem for the bus. As for the drivers, they may feel stressed driving a DD uphill and downhill and considering that Kent Ridge Crescent and Lower Kent Ridge Road are quite narrow, it may make them more uptight. The bridge at Kent Ridge Hall which used to have a height limit of 3.5m (?) has been removed.Originally posted by service_238:there might be a double decker problem... -

I am not sure whether it is feasible or not.
