Handover of 3 Eunos Services
CBS is proud to announce the handover of 3 of its Eunos services to TransCorp. The handover will take effect from 1st June 2004. This is to give newcomer TransCorp a head-start into the Transport Business in Singapore.
The 3 services that will be run under TransCorp are
CBS57: Eunos - Opera Estate (Loop)
CBS58: Eunos - PLAB (Loop)
CBS59: Eunos - Ubi Ind Estate (Loop)
CBS would like to take this opportunity to give CBS57 CBS58 CBS59 complimentary rides on its last day of operation: 31st May 2004. An evening gathering will be held on that day @Eunos Interchange to thank the commuters for their continuous support of CBS.
CBS has exclusive rights to operate KMB Buses
CBS had signed an agreement with Kowloon Motor Bus, a major bus company in Hong Kong on 24th May 2004 for CBS to have exclusive rights to buy and use KMB buses on Singapore's roads.
Soon, Singaporeans will be able to see Wright Olympian 3 axle and Dennis Dart 11.8m in Singapore come late June 2004. The fate of where these buses will be based at still remains a mystery.
At a press conference, CBS CEO serviec_238 says,"It's a good tie-up between both companies to exchange bus ideas and co-operate the same bus models in both Hong Kong and Singapore. I'm looking forward into this partnership"
KMB President and CEO couldnt agree more.
In return, KMB gets to operate 50 Volvo Super Olympian with Volgren bodywork come July 2004. These buses will be built and assembled in Singapore before being sent to HK for revenue usage. These 50 dudes will not be operating as citybuses in Singapore.

ZYX8388T is new to ZYXbus on jan 2003 when ZYX bought it over from Singtrans (now northlink express)
at any rate more wright bodied double deckers are being introduced by ZYXbus already. u ahve already seen 2units of the DAF DB 250 LF with wright body. the third unit is now in depot being fitted with the much accliamed ZYX GPS integrated systems (laughers)

why ZYX889. ok now yew tee peeps enjoy direct bus link to yishun and without hassle of going thru wdl new town. also new link between cck and sbw by express bus. however the bus has to go thru sungei kadut ind est in roder to get out from cck nroth to the KJE and SLE junction. that will be imrpoved once LTA builds more rds int eh area..LTA..... all this is putting a strian on KJ depot. Kjnow has more habits which we got from the citaro G.
4) integration of frequcneis of ZYX64 with CBS bus (i think his one is CBS56)
5) on 1 june 2004. massive launch of OC500LE (A) diesel fuel buses on service 174, 157 , 154 and 30. ZYX5924F--ZYX5965U will be launched in a huge batch. several merc 045NH will be transferred to KJ in this excercise. excess VO3x from 154 and 157 will be redeployed in the west services to free up more merc 0405NH (G) to be tranferred to Kj depot
6) enhance ment of ZYX852 to ply jurong west ave 3
also on same day 1 june 2004
ZYX852 will go to jurong west ave 3 to help peeps in Jurong west st 2x near the NTU to provide direct link to boon lay int

Well 745S rocks because it has one of the smoothest engines amongst the rest. 754R is too loud, 749G is not as smooth. And being a CAC means it's aircon does not go eeeeeeeeeee all the way like many old OACs do (think 435 499). -
TransCorp will start operations out of Eunos Interchange with it;s maiden services there on 1 Jun 04. Sadly though, TransCorp does not operate any equivalent of SBST 63. the 1970s 63 plsy the same route but got withdrawn and then 15 yrs later it is back...silly sbst)

your zyx63 is my CBS53. Difference is that from Eunos to Macpherson Estate CBS53 use 154 route while you use 382 rouote.
