You mean the route below?Originally posted by tranquilice:Choa Chu Kang Link/Stagmont Ring is very narrow due to the railway crossing. It's even more narrow than Kranji Rd which has a railway crossing too.
Perhaps you can re-route it via CCK Dr, North 7, Way, Sungei Kadut Loop and Ave.

Since Sv 72 is a high demand route and Sv 27 not enough to compliment it...why not do the following to ease passenger demand...
1. Introduce a loop service from Tampines - Tampines Dormitory...
SERVICE 5 - Tampines Interchange - Tampines Ave 4 - Tampines St 21 - Tampines Ave 2 - Tampines Ave 4 - Tampines Ave 5 - Tampines St 83 - Tampines Ave 3 - Tampines Ave 8 - Tampines Ave 5 - Tampines Ave 10 - Tampines Ind Ave 2 - Tampines Place (Tampines Dormitory) - Tampines Ind Ave 2 - Tampines Ave 10 - Tampines Ave 5 - Tampines Ave 8 - Tampines Ave 3 - Tampines St 83 - Tampines Ave 5 - Tampines Ave 4 - Tampines Ave 2 - Tampines St 21 - Tampines Ave 4 - Tampines Interchange
2. Reroute Sv 81...demand is not too great Tampines-Serangoon...
Tampines Interchange - Tampines Ave 7 - Loyang Ave - Pasir Ris Dr 1 - Pasir Ris Dr 12 - TPE - Tampines Rd - Hougang Ave 3 - Hougang Central - Hougang Ave 4 - Hougang Ave 9 - Yio Chu Kang Rd - Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 - Ang Mo Kio Ave 8 -Yio Chu Kang Interchange
Hmm, but will loop at Kovan be too long for loop service?Originally posted by service_238:Svc 5 route too winding around Tampines, especially when it bypasses tampines central area twice.
As for 81, people take this bus to get to SRJC. Rerouting it will result in a transfer or extra walking for the students. Sv 81 has vv low demand between Kovan - Serangoon. Maybe loop at Kovan?
If Svc 9 89 can loop at CACC, why cant Svc 81 loop at Kovan?Originally posted by leeJZ:Hmm, but will loop at Kovan be too long for loop service?
shld extend to amk frm kovan... no use to loop at kovan cuz low no. of commuters. at least got svc to serve amk to kovan other than 136 (takes 45 mins to get there!!!)Originally posted by service_238:If Svc 9 89 can loop at CACC, why cant Svc 81 loop at Kovan?
Yes, correct. From what I saw in the street directory, Sungei Kadut Loop connects CCK Way and Sungei Kadut Ave.Originally posted by freakybuses:You mean the route below?

* Does not ply in Sungei Kadut Loop
I would prefer service 925 to ply via Yew Tee. So that passengers of Sungei Kadut transferring to NSL towards Jurong East can transfer at Yew Tee MRT which is nearer instead of CCK MRT.Originally posted by kuang:Is it possible to divert 927 to ply via Yew Tee? I mean, sv 927 route is quite pathetic other than the zoo. Once upon a time, it used to link CCK and Bt Panjang residents to the zoo.....
Two more things: have to make sure whether the bus can turn right at a junction, have to make sure there are no height restriction for services using DD.Originally posted by service_238:freakybuses: It'd be best if you could consult the st directory before implementing your fantasy route. No hard feelings but this would facillitate us in understanding your route better.
There is a current 970 serving between Bukit Panjang and Shenton Way. Don't follow Tibs by renumbering services. It does not increase load at all. Don't touch those nos. Leave them alone.Originally posted by cck_190:This are my suggestions:
CCK bus numbers start with 97x
All Feeders in CCK renumbered:
300 ~ 970
302 ~ 972
Intra-town 307 ~ 977

of course! That was SBS 290 to tampines. Now, Sigh.........It has been discontinued. instead, it is replaced by service no. 38

To compete with SBS sv 36 for the pax from Marine Parade - City, TIBS introduces Sv 888 from Bukit Batok - Upper East Coast
Bukit Batok Interchange - Bukit Batok Central - Bukit Batok Ave 1 - Jurong East Central - Boon Lay Way - Commonwealth Ave West - Commonwealth Ave - Queensway - Holland Rd - Napier Rd - Tanglin Rd - Orchard Rd - Bras Basah Rd - Hill St - New Bridge Rd - Upper Pickering St - Pickering St - Church St - Collyer Quay - Fullerton Rd - Esplanade Drive - Stamford Rd - Beach Rd - Ophir Rd - ECP - Tanjong Katong South Rd - Mountbatten Rd - Amber Rd - Marine Parade Rd - Bedok South Ave 1 - Upper East Coast Rd - Upp East Coast Terminal
And to compete for pax between Airport - City and to have a fast connection between Northwest and Central, TIBS introduces Sv 183...replacing my earlier Choa Chu Kang - Eunos service...
Choa Chu Kang Interchange - Choa Chu Kang Loop - Choa Chu Kang Way - Bukit Batok Rd - Bukit Batok West Ave 5 - Bukit Batok West Ave 2 - Bukit Batok Central - Bukit Batok East Ave 3 - Bukit Batok East Ave 6 - Old Jurong Rd - Upp Bukit Timah Rd - Jalan Anak Bukit - PIE - Jln Toa Payoh - Toa Payoh Lor 2 - Toa Payoh Central - Toa Payoh Lor 4 - Toa Payoh Lor 6 - Kim Keat Link - PIE - CTE - Bukit Timah Rd - Scotts Rd - Orchard Rd - Bras Basah Rd - Victoria St - Ophir Rd - ECP - Airport Boulevard - Changi Airport Bus Terminal

Thnx for the corrections...Originally posted by service_238:Few errors added, noted and corrected above.
I find your first route very winding especially around the Raffles Place area. It wont bring much pax around there especially weekends. A direct road down Bras Basah Rd would be better.
Another winding route on your 2nd route. Going to toa payoh before City and then to Airport. Might as well Toa Payoh direct to AirportOne more thing.. PIE (East) has no slip road to CTE (South) and vice versa. I'd recommend your route to enter via Braddell Rd.
Just my 2 cents worth
No Point really...Originally posted by leeJZ:Thnx for the corrections...
But if the main demand out of airport is towards the city, is there any point in making it direct to Toa Payoh?
Oh! I forgot. Anyway, I think it should be renumbered as it looks weird on a TIBS bus. What do you think of the route? It is to help ease the load on 307 and 302
Actually, the weirdest thing about 36 is that the main demand does not begin at the airport. Instead, it is from Marine Parade to Suntec/Orchard. From airport, the bus is at most 60% sitting. Well, these are my observations and might not necessarily be true.Originally posted by leeJZ:Thnx for the corrections...
