How about extending Svc 77 towards Shenton Way via Clemenceau Av, Havelock Rd, Pickering St, Raffles Quay, Shenton Way and Palmer Road? i find that 106 duplicate with 77 all the way from napier rd to bras basah road .so i would like to admend 106 and make it to serve roads like beach road which has few services.

direction 1 towards geylang lor 1
after bras basah rd ,prinsep st,selegie rd,sungei rd,ophir rd,beach rd,crawford st,kallang rd,finally geylang lor 1 terminal.
dirction 2 towards bt batok
from geylang lor 1 terminal,kallang rd,crawford st,north bridge rd,jin sultan,beach rd,rochor rd,bencoolen st and back to orchard rd

Perhaps TIBS should consider plying and loop TIBS 75 to/at Raffles Boulevard (Suntec), just like SBST111. Many bus commuters boarded bus at Suntec. Few would now go to Marina square, even if they go to there, they can still board bus at busstop opposite Marina Square.
SBST was smart to loop 111 and 97 at Suntec and captured many commuters on return trips at Suntec. Whilst TIBS its services terminates at Marina, misses those commuters.

I was thinking about the same question just now when I passed by on 97. TIBS106 terminates at MRC because TIBS has more control of the terminus there than SBST. As you can see, SBST only controls 2 svc there while TIBS controls the rest. Similarly, SBST controls more of the Shenton Way and NBR terminus than TIBS. Remind me of Tibs service 864. Instead of adding more services to park at Raffles Blvd, SBST was clever enough to loop SBST97, SBST111 and SBST502 for 2 reasons
1. to reduce parking at MRC
2. to commute pax from suntec on their return trip.
In case you guys dont know, drivers change the side desto at the junction of Raffles Ave and Temasek Ave.
For Reason 2, TIBS lost out on this as most of their services start their trip from Marina Centre Ter and people who wanna take these TIBS services would have cross Marina Centre Shop Ctr first before taking the bus. SBST provides a better coverage of Marina Centre area than TIBS.
I see that TIBS having more control of the Marina Centre Terminal is because of their long haul services like 960. If 960 were to loop at MRC, the driver will be very fed up!
SBST97 and SBST111 are rather ok in looping. I dont see any problem in that. Its like SBST15. I just dont understand why TIBS106 terminates at MRC. It's kinda sickening though...

so basically its an extension from Yishun int to changi vilalge. it also supplements svc 29 proving the chalet ppl with a nicer link to the MRt namely at PSR instead of bumping on 29 thru tampines to the MRT.
